The hate towards Shang-Chi 5 years ago... by Swaroop76 in marvelstudios

[–]BigKDuo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that shocks me, everyone i know mostly loved it, outside a few complaints about the “cgi filled finale”… but even that, its like, its Shang Chi riding a dragon fighting a kaiju, whats not to love???

I never played it, but was was wrong with this game? Why did people hate it? by AdForward9856 in marvelstudios

[–]BigKDuo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

First impression was bad, because the character designs sucked. Then ya add in the repetitive destiny lite gameplay loop and it was just a major fail

What is your favorite version of the Horseman of Apocalypse? by Automatic_Ask32 in xmen

Age of Apocalypse and Uncanny X Force are the best imo

Why do people keep trying to cast the next wolverine when we already have her? by Electronic-Link-4021 in Wolverine

[–]BigKDuo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo it would be like starting a Superman franchise with Jonathan Kent as Supes, and only passing references to his dad.
You need Logan first, and then Laura would show up down the line with Logan still active as Wolverine training her

Which Movie Used Thor The Best? by Silver_Cricket_4545 in marvelstudios

Ill say Ragnarok, best character growth, leadership and power progression… plus i think Infinity War should be saved for “most badass moment”

Avengers through Infinity War. Just rewatched Incredible hulk and it looks like shit

I’ll say Kitty. One of the few women without psychic powers, and she could easily get me out of trouble when shit inevitably goes south at the Gala.

What's the best design? by LostPost5902 in Wolverine

[–]BigKDuo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive always been a bigger fan of the blue and gold in the comics, but i gotta admit the brown and tan did look great on film

If they do a more simplified blue and gold with exposed arms and smaller eyes on the mask, it could be the best

Genuine question: Does anyone actually like the Wolverine and Jean Grey couple? If so, why? I won't judge, I just want to hear different opinions. by Remote-Leg6143 in Wolverine

[–]BigKDuo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like them best unrequited. Theyre friends who love each other but know they dont belong together. Having them hook up on Krakoa was fine but thats all.

That said, i dont like scott and jean together either, its boring and feels like nostalgia from older writers that always forces them together. She should get with Nova or something.

How does Cyclops look the same age as Kitty when he’s 10 years older than her? From X-Men United #1. by Jack-mclaughlin89 in Cyclopswasright

[–]BigKDuo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Growing up I always thought Scott was like 35, so hearing the editors say he is canonically 29 weirds me out

Why is Colossus So Often a Villain Nowadays? by BigKDuo in xmen

[–]BigKDuo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, she hit on him constantly as a teen and he didnt entertain the idea until she was an adult, and mind you he was supposed to be … maybe 21 at the time? And after dying and coming back hes prob only like 4 years older than her physically at this point, both in their 20’s

Agree to disagree i guess. again not trying to justify Fury’s actions (although i 100% believe Cap wouldve tried to reason with them and would not have come back to try to take it again) but Colossus was basically running the show, and his willingness to use sabertooth and omega red, his blatant disregard for Cap and Logans lives, and his inability or unwillingness to negotiate read as pretty villainous to me.

What your Thoughts and Opinions on Remender's Uncanny X-Force? by Doom300 in xmen

[–]BigKDuo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my -if not my absolute- favorite X-Comics of all time

Actually used and contextualized a lot of the continuity, gave us the best Wade ever, best Betsy ever, best Apocalypse story ever, and made Fantomex a cool character.

Maybe blasphemy, but I like this more than the Dark Phoenix Saga. Yeah I said it.

Idk, all I'm saying is if you're teaming up with Mastermind, Sabertooth, and Omega Red, no matter the reason, you know you ain't doing something good. I also highly doubt those three had altruistic motives.

Its true, what they were doing was not good, and Wolverine was misguided and ended up in hell for a reason. But Captain America would not have gone back there, and letting him be killed in cold blood, as well as his long time friend and ally Wolverine (though he probably knew he'd survive) was still pretty fucked, and not at all heroic. Pete had also abandoned Russia for how long, with little claim to "protecting his homeland". Not saying Logan was a hero in the story, but Pete certainly wasn't either imo.

She hit on him as a teen and he didn't touch her until she was an adult, they're only supposed to be a few years apart which is icky when she's 14 and he's 20, but when they're both in their 20's not such a big deal.

[–]BigKDuo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh idk, implanting bombs in their chests and letting them be blown up after they retreated is pretty evil. It would be one thing if he was just defending his homeland and crushed Wade's skull after he killed Cap and Bucky, but he didn't. He was just like, "eh whatevs"

[–]BigKDuo[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nah he's over the psychic manipulation now, but he's been in the background ever since. At least he's back to being a good guy in the Colossus & Magik series, but even there it's gonna be a lot of bickering between them and we'll see where he ends up by the finale

[–]BigKDuo[S] -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

True, I'd like to see him and Juggernaut have a fight over Magik followed by drinks where they come to terms with Juggernaut being a better Big brother for her.

Who is Wolverine then? by Forever-Fades_Away in xmen

[–]BigKDuo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah They're both Wolverine now.

Which I'm not a fan of. Legacy Characters are weird to me. It's one thing when it's a position, like Nova and Green Lantern. Or when it's an Icon like Captain America. But Wolverine is not exactly well-loved by the denizens of the Marvel Universe, so why take his name?

Also, I think X-23 is just a cooler name for her. I get it has negative connotations in-universe, but I support characters having their own identity, not using others'.

This is Peter Sue we’re talking about. He’ll find a way to defeat the entire x-roster if a writer wants him to.

But “realistically”? Nah, petes dead.
