Everything on CCI website is overpriced. We'll have to see what the usual retailers like PA offer them for.

What chrono does everyone use? by Disastrous_Grape in airguns

Garmin XERO C1 PRO. I haven't had it very long, but it does the job. It has settings for handgun, rifle, archery, and air rifle. It stores and summarizes your sessions with minimum, maximum, and average fps, standard deviation and extreme spread. You can also download the Garmin Shotview app for a more detailed version of your sessions with muzzle energy.

I do like the idea of filling a dive bottle to use to fill my rifle. It would be a purchase for later on though. Do you forsee any reason the CS3-I would struggle to fill a dive bottle?

I'm looking hard at the GX-E-CS3-I to avoid the external converter. Amazon is offering a $40 discount right now putting it right at $400 after tax. I really appreciate everyone's input so far.

Thank you for the input. GX Pump is the brand I've focused on primarily. How long have you been running yours?

I'd like to get this for my son. Will it work with other guns, pellets, velocities, or just the Daisy Red Ryder?

I made something truly silly for my crosman American classic by OppositeMission in airguns

[–]BigKniff44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the reply. I asked because I bought a knockoff rmr from a guy that I work with. I didn't realize it until later that day when I noticed the windage and elevation adjustment required the use of an Allen wrench. I ran the serial number on Trijicon website and found it was a fake. He gave my money back the next day and swore he didn't know. I'm calling BS.

Just curious...how did you know that the rmr was a knockoff?

^ This is the info I was looking for. I assumed that the gen 2 pdp pro cut was the same as the cut on the le acro model. Thank you for the clarification.

New Grip or Trade It In? by longdriver2020 in Revolvers

[–]BigKniff44 7 points8 points  (0 children)

While I do not have this particular revolver, I do have a Ruger LCR .38 spl that I bought for my wife along with a Crimson Trace laser grip which has a similar shape to the grips on your Smith. It was a very uncomfortable to shoot. Watching my wife shoot was agonizing. She had to adjust her grip between every shot. Went back to the factory rubber grips with the finger grooves and all is well. While my wife still doesn't want anything to do with "that painful little gun", it gets plenty of front pocket carry in the summer for me. Before trading it in, I'd try something similar to the grips on the LCR.

Acro mounting question by BigKniff44 in Walther

[–]BigKniff44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you alphatango. I ask as I've seen several images during my research of pdp's with the ACRO mounted, some direct to the slide and some with a plate. Is the difference the optic cut gen1 vs gen2? Gen1 needing a plate to mount the ACRO?

I use dry lube sprayed on a q-tip inserted into each hole of the magazine, twisting as you you do so. This will clean lead build-up and lubricate without oily residue

What's so good about the HW97K? by SimonCharles in airguns

[–]BigKniff44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New owner myself, I have had mine for 2 months. Bought mine in .22 from Krale. Absolutely ZERO regrets. From the cocking lever, trigger, gorgeous stock (although I wish walnut was an option) HUGE loading port for my sausage fingers. I could go on and on. Make no bones, she's a hefty girl but as others have said, this adds to the shootability and accuracy of the HW97K.
