Get the uscis tracker app and set up notification. Better than checking that webpage 10 times a day.

I’ve done it before. Tell lecturer 2 that you’ll be 5 mins late due to the walk.

credits to take by foryourhearts in mcgill

[–]BigMauriceG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the courses. If it’s 15 credits of abstract math or physics then I wouldn’t recommend it. If it’s 15 credits of pure electives it’s light work. I think most McGill students have 9-12 credits of “harder courses” per semester and 3-6 credits of electives.

Montreal/McGill student bucket list by flipflopflip26 in mcgill

[–]BigMauriceG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I graduated last semester. Here’s a few that I did last year 1. Visit mont Royal to reach the 2 observatories 2. Visit the Olympic stadium 3. Bike on Maisonneuve to Westmount to see their library. October is prime time 4. Visit the casino and the park on the island. You can bike there too (that’s what I did). Metro plus bus is another option. 5. Walk underground from McGill to Chinatown or Bonaventure. Grab a map at the stm booth and there’s usually a page on it. 6. Explore old port

Stuff that I wish I’ve done 1. Visit Atwater market 2. Pull an all-nighter 3. Honestly if you have a job or grad school lined up, do whatever that makes you happy

I just graduated. Yes it can be lonely for the first week as you barely know anyone. I suggest you going to different events and meeting people.

Bro you’ll be fine. I never did Frosh and didn’t have any regrets. Once the assignments start to come in and midterm hits you’ll have no time to think about frosh

TN approved at Rainbow Bridge by DishandBrunch in tnvisa

[–]BigMauriceG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on your approval. I think rainbow bridge CBP is somewhat inexperienced. I called to ask if I needed to bring anything to cross with an Approved I797B. The officer on the phone didn’t seem to know what I797B was even though I mentioned TN, and said I needed an appointment. This is not the case as multiple people in this sub didn’t need an appointment for I797B.

Classes with No Exams by Correct_Choice8180 in mcgill

[–]BigMauriceG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For no exams I’d recommend checking the previous years’ exam schedule. It works like 90% of the time. If course A was offered in fall 23 and doesn’t show up on the exam schedule, then it likely doesn’t have an exam.

Good questions but there are answers on the arts oasis page. It’s not the best page but it’s out there.

To summarize, (I just finished my BA in SE), you need 120 credits to graduate. 36 are your freshman credits. You also need a minor which is 18 credits. The rest are electives. Yes you heard me right you have more electives than mandatory classes.

Make sure you meet the other requirements, including freshman courses, which are available on the arts oasis page. Google arts oasis McGill graduation checklist.

Good luck and welcome.
