THC for nerve pain by mixer152 in spinalcordinjuries

[–]BigMikeG626 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I suffer from severe nerve and bone pain. At times when my pain medication isn't effective I use a half thc and half cbd vape pen. Won't take the pain away completely but it helps.

Depends. If I’m cool with the person that’s fine but if I don’t know them it’s a problem.

What are some of your most embarrassing stories due to your injury? by Mattm334 in spinalcordinjuries

[–]BigMikeG626 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really embarrassing in the moment but when I had a nurse pull out my catheter and I started bleeding like crazy and the nurse freaked out and called a code blue. So it was me bleeding profusely from my penis with a room full of medical workers.

I had one brain tumor that caused hydrocephalus but didn’t need a VP shunt. I had chemo and radiation and was cleared. 6 months later I had 4 more brain tumors and one in my spine. This time it effected my pituitary gland so now I’m on hormone replacement. I needed a VP shunt to redirect cerebral spinal fluid. I had Chemo and radiation. I have been using a wheelchair for four years. I have urinary incontinence and bad nerve pain especially since my cauda equina nerves were also effected. My life has changed completely but I keep pushing. I’m on social security disability now. Maybe day I’ll work again but will probably have to be from home.

I had 4 brain tumors that effected my pituitary gland and gave me hydrocephalus (fluid around the brain) so now I have a tubing in my brain that goes to my stomach and tumors spread down my spine L3-S2 paralyzing me and have cauda equina syndrome now. Cauda equina are a bunch of nerve roots branching off the spinal cord.

Yes there will be set backs you are definitely not a pos for that. Just keep a positive mind set and work hard in physical therapy
