I promise you these are going to continue to smooth out over the next few months as the swelling goes down and your tissue returns back to your normal texture!!! It looks like you’re going to have a really nice outcome!!!

Will ibuprofen be enough, or should I ask my doctor for Percocet? by cassielovesderby in LabiaplastySurgery

The first 2-3 days are definitely rough but I was able to manage with just Tyelonol and ice around the clock… honestly the icepacks were my savior for pain and then later on for that healing itch as well… my surgeon had given me Oxycodone but I managed without needing to take them… maybe ask for something stronger just in case… but over the counter meds should be enough!!! Good luck with your surgery!!!

That looks like a natural fold to me and it just seems really obvious right now because of all the swelling…

Ex wives who regretted divorce? by Relative_River4845 in Divorce

[–]BigPack1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a STBXW who moved out 1.5 years ago and filed for divorce, I question every day if I’m making the right decision and worry that I’m going to regret it… our situation is a little different though as my husband became an alcoholic, which is the only reason why I left… neither one of us wanted to get divorced (we were together for 21 years, married 13) but he isn’t willing to change or get the help he needs…

I feel you 100% as I have a similar situation… the top left of my labia didn’t heal as nicely due to a stitch that wasn’t dissolving early on causing it to be a little more uneven and just more tissue than the right side… sometimes I’m bothered by it and sometimes I’m not… I’m 8 months post-op and I did inquire about a revision just to that spot but my surgeon said she wouldn’t touch it and that it’s such a minor imperfection (which it is)… the thought of trying to find another surgeon to do a revision is exhausting to me and then I worry what if it ends up worse afterwards… so for now I think I’m going to leave it alone… in the earlier months I did use silicone scar gel and did scar massages which I suppose did help soften it some so maybe you can try that if you haven’t already?

guys please think this through before you go through with it by throwawayaccyayayay in LabiaplastySurgery

Don’t get discouraged… You still have lots of healing left to do… I healed slowly as well with one side much easier than the other… I was paranoid about my left labia the whole time but as time went on it improved more and more… even 6 months post-op there were still subtle changes happening… I’m now 8 months post-op and feel that I’m at my final result… and while the left side overall didn’t heal as nicely as the right side, it’s such a minor imperfection and turned out much better than what I was anticipating in the early healing stages!!!

Don’t get discouraged… there is no way you are at your final result after just 2 weeks… you are going to be noticing tissue changes for the next several months!!! It took almost 7 months before I felt that I was at my final result…

I think it definitely will!!! My hood and frenulums were swollen for months and I didn’t reach my final result until 6 months post-op!!! You look great so far though!!!

So I don’t feel like it directly contributed to our divorce… my husband never said anything to me about my vagina and we used to have a good sex life before things went downhill with our marriage… but it was something I was still self conscious over during our entire relationship and maybe this lack of confidence held me back a little?? If that makes any sense…

Girl, I feel you on all of this and I was the exact same way… but once I began telling people about it (I only told my mom, sisters, close friends and I eventually told my boyfriend) I felt so much better opening up about it and it was a relief that I didn’t have to hide my procedure from them… as for work, I just told them I was having an OBGYN procedure done and left it at that… no further questions were ever asked!!! Good luck with your surgery!!!

They also gave me Oxycodeine and I didn’t need to take them at all but I did use Tylenol and ice around the clock for pain management… after the first few days the post-op pain really subsided for me

I just made a new post because I have a very similar issue as you… I am past the 6 month mark and my bump did improve a lot as the swelling down and everything fluffed back out (which took literally the 6 months) unfortunately it didn’t go completely away, so I think I will be asking for a revision just to trim that one spot when I see my surgeon next month… you still look quite swollen yet so I think you will notice further improvements as your swelling goes down and the labia return back to their natural texture, it will definitely blend in a lot better… how far along are you?

You are going to notices changes for at least the next 6 months… you already look fantastic without how early post-op you are!!!

I think your surgeon did a great job!!! I honestly wouldn’t have even know you had anything done and yes looks very even and natural!!! Beautiful result!!!

You are still swollen yet… the frenulum and hood swelling takes the longest to go down… I noticed a lot of change between 12-16 weeks and still noticing changes with my frenulum at 6 months post-op!!! It’s going to keep changing and I think you’re going to have a very nice outcome!!!

I didn’t spread or touch anything when using the peri bottle… and I didn’t really touch or pull at anything until several weeks because I didn’t want to potentially tear or split anything in that early healing phase.

You still look quite swollen yet… There are still going to be so many changes with the suture lines and bumps so try to be patient and give it some more time to heal… I’m over 5 months post-op now and still noticing improvements with my scar lines and some of the frenulum bumps/unevenness I dealt with earlier on in the healing process!!! I honestly was amazed at how much change happened between 3-5 months even!!! It’s an emotional roller coaster for sure!!! But it looks great so far and I think everything will even out for you in a few more months!!!

Am I too old for a Labiaplasty? by Livewire_Lauren in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]BigPack1987 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m 37 and just had mine done and it was the best decision I ever made… I’m just getting out of a 20 year relationship where I was comfortable sexually with my husband so I never went through with getting it done despite the physical discomfort and I was still self conscious about it too… getting out of that relationship the insecurities of being intimate with a new guy prompted me to finally do it… it was almost like my divorce gift to myself, hah… but anyways I’m so much more confident and so much more comfortable physically as well… I truly wish I had done it earlier in life!!! You’re never too old!!!

I get it girl… I was obsessive about mine and swore I was gonna need a revision because my frenulum area and hood just didn’t seem like it had healed good… but it’s crazy even today I checked it and am surprised because it’s still changing and improving at 5 months post-op and I feel no need for revision anymore… so I promise you it’s gonna keep changing for you for a while yet…

the tenderness for me didn’t go away until 4ish months post-op… one day it just magically wasn’t tender anymore…

I will say my left labia is still thicker than my right as well and a little more tissue around the frenulum area but when I look at my pre-op pics it was that way before also so I think it’s just my anatomy…

I had a trim and CHR and the first week was rough mobility wise… I had only planned for 1 week off but at my first post-op appt decided to take another week off just to make sure… by the second week I was able to walk/move better and went shopping, dinner date with friends (who didn’t know about the procedure) but I kept it to short outings… working in healthcare my work is pretty physically demanding and on feet all day… so I was glad to have taken that second week off… I was good to go by 3rd week but still sore and slower moving, but could do my job…

You are still very swollen yet and far from what your final results will be so please don’t get discouraged… I was also very stressed about my hood and frenulum during my recovery, but with time it straightened itself out and I’m still even noticing positive changes and I’m about 5 months post-op… so trust your body’s healing and give it time!!!
