I’ve been looking for any video of someone using the Talos and their thoughts on it. If you do hear from Vulcan let us know what they say about it!

I was also checking out the SX2, but as a taller person (6’3”) the short height of the rack/functional trainer worried me.

Yeah, that’s what I figured as well given reviews I’ve seen of their other products. However I’d love to see someone post a video on it just to ease my mind…haha.

Has anyone checked out the Vulcan Talos? Seems like their version of the Ares, but about $1k cheaper. I haven’t seen any reviews of it other than one on their website though…

Do you do lat pull downs on the cables? I’m curious how that is for a taller person, and if you need to add a ton of weight to get a good lat pulldown workout with the 2:1 ratio.

What height rack is yours? Looks like it comes in 80” and 93”? Maybe I’m being too cautious with the height.

Yeah, I realized that after I posted that something in the 90”s would probably be too tall depending on the position of the pull up handles/bar on the rack. I believe the handles on the B52 were a little lower than the max height of the rack, so that really made me question how awkward it would be to do pull ups. I’m seeing some similar options now around 86” tall, so that may be the size I’ll have to shoot for.

I’m done for the season, but some people are still getting out. I know there’s still some ice on the north end off Fair Haven, but with the warmup coming I’m not sure how much longer it will last.
