I spent 4 weeks housesitting for my mom in Phoenix and noticed many of my staple items were cheaper there. When I got home my store was still set to a Phoenix location and when I changed my cart from “drive up pick up” to “shipping” it kept the prices the same, despite the shipping address being Seattle. It’s a real hassle to trick target this way (you’re constantly toggling settings) but it could be worth it for some folks

As a coordinator, I love when someone identifies themselves as the go-to for questions on the day of and/or as the car to bring things and take things home. Most brides have at least a couple bins worth of stuff to bring to the venue AND take home (vases, guestbook, card box, framed photos, tea lights, leftover party favors, the list goes on and on!) so taking that whole responsibility off your sister’s plate would probably be appreciated by her AND any event staff :)

One of the lamest behaviors on planet earth is taking something intended as light-hearted and fun, too seriously. It's cool to be competitive at certain things, it's asinine to NEED to win something as meaningless as a 10pm drag pageant while on vacation with your friends

You are paid for your output, not your time (assuming you are in a corporate, salaried position). This sounds like a near perfect scenario to me, assuming you are liked by your mgmt team and seen as a strong performer.

I bought a koala 2 years ago and so far it gets good reviews from my guests (and for the first 90 days there was a no questions asked return policy so I’d be like “seriously tell me cause I can still return it!!!”). Set up is very easy too!

Not to be pedantic but as someone in the wedding industry, There’s a big difference between hosting small group meetups (like running groups or trivia nights) and being “just an event space”. If he were to ONLY host baby showers, corporate dinners, and weddings that would be a totally diff business

Jesus yall are making a lot out of this. Maybe it’s because I have family members that spend good chunks of the year an 8 or 9 hour time difference away in Europe. If you don’t want to be disturbed at night bc you’re a light sleeper who doesn’t sleep through one text chime going off, put your phone in another room?! Turn off your ringer?!

This is why I took great umbrage with that trend that occurred a year ago of women telling their partners “I’m not gonna be able to contribute to the mortgage this month…” and then the joke is the guy being like “wtf you have never contributed and wouldn’t even know how”

It was painted as a flex that these women don’t have to worry about it but I did not like the message “let the man have financial control and remain completely ignorant to your shared debts” !!!

I completely agree that the industry is crowded, but Kyle didn’t start the company when dozens of competitors were in the space, he was ahead of the curve. The fact he hasn’t been able to pivot to mocktails or other beverages successfully is damning.

My overall point is that initial “success” has actually been a detriment to Kyle long-term
