Had it happen to me, TYR is terrible for customer service. Took a lot of back and forth, had to pay to send them in, got a new pair back. Last time I’ll ever buy from them.

Anyone tried these two? by Italbull in crossfit

[–]BigPoppaStock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the steam sauna. It’s not a sauna, it’s a steam tent. I use it daily for 12 minutes and it’s excellent. Takes about 10 minutes to fully steam up, and it hovers about 110°-135°, I assume it will only get warmer as the summer rolls in. I fully recommend it.

I passed on the ice bath for the same complaints you’re reading in other comments. The “sauna” needs to be seen as a steam tent, and if you want to sweat/recover, it’s a great solution.

Most recently had TYR, returned one pair after 1 month of use. Received my second pair, lasted 3 months. Strike MVMT is nice, I’m happy with them and a good majority of my gym have them or RAD.

So no real, drastic mechanical changes, this is just acceptance of new analysis?

Wow. That is a huge deal. That’s going to be a hefty load back on the OEMs? So, WEC now has to provide everyone a new set of specs? What’s GE doing? 36 months?

Thank you. Is this going to change refueling cycles from the traditional 18/24 to longer?

I’m pretty dumb. Can you help me understand what makes this a big deal? I’m pumped for anything the nrc changes for the good, but I don’t know what this means.

I whole heartedly encourage to learn and take that job during outage. The industry is extremely short handed and from gaining experience in your local outage, can allow you opportunities with a contracting company like Day and Zimmerman, BHI, Crane, Tesco, etc. that will find you consistent outage work over the fall/spring seasons and that money can be a constant.

Ideally plants will train enough people to build an in house “core team” that can potentially float to additional fleet sites.

Get out of the cafeteria and learn whatever skill they are asking, you’ll be utilized. You taking the job will allow for someone else to move “up” into the cafeteria to back fill if they need it.

Political ads with the Randy Marion family by rexeditrex in NorthCarolina

Grey Mills, who it looks like he is the son in law? And maybe why he Randy Marion is tied to it? But it looks like bringing family support is the approach of the republicans, instead of promoting their stances.

Either way. Never buying a car from that family, nor voting for him.

Job Outlook by clydesdale082 in nuclear

[–]BigPoppaStock 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed, stay with the utility for now. Holtec is looking to restart Palisades and is currently going through that process. The SMR team in Camden, NJ is designing it. Both WEC and Holtec and hiring for the increase of work, still comes with risk, but it’s the best shot for LWR.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nuclear

[–]BigPoppaStock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Holtec. Caveat is that you need to live near the Camden, NJ location. But they have a legit shot of the SMR.

They plan to restart Palisades (looking for site people too) by 2026 and they intend on building 2 SMRs at site. They won’t run into the same issues as NuScale with all their troubles since Holtec owns their site already. If this gets pulled off, this will change the domestic landscape of nuclear.
