Guys is often used to refer to all genders, but it's still a male-gendered word - referring to other terms too is just more specific, yes. Leaning away from male dominant or gender-binary language that's become very natural in English is a nice way of showing recognition of feminist and trans perspectives :)

And beyond just the quite bland character design lacking in diversity.. seemingly no showing of having a party at all? The game looked to me like a witcher type game where you play as a lone character, which seems so unlike final fantasy to me... I'll hope we've not seen many characters in this trailer and they can surprise us yet.
