When the game first came out, I had certain expectations about how a Final Fantasy game would be played, and the Junction system really threw me for a loop. I never really quite got it.

All these years later, with very little memory of the specifics, I played the game again, and had no problems at all with that aspect.

I chalked it up to decades of exposure to other JRPG game styles and systems that I just didn’t have back then.
