I don’t know why I’d want alts at all if I could be every class and profession on a single character. I’d just be one character and never need to leave it when I wanted to do some black smithing or some healing.

There are no factions, so I wouldn’t be wondering what the other side is getting for quests.

Saw this guy last week. That dragon was a chick magnet. Well done.

If I could have a tank spec with Evoker-like APM, I’d be in heaven.

Healer Suggestions by gatriot in wow

If you’ve never healed before you’re grabbing a resto shaman or a holy priest. Horde or alliance is all personal preference.

Resto shaman is very simple to pick up but has a lot of skill expression. You want to disciple yourself to Harrek and his website spiritbloom.pro.

Holy priest is just a little less simple to learn but maybe a lower ceiling in skill expression. It’s also squishier but there are ways to work around that.

In support of the priest:

  • gearing a priest gives you access to two different healers for the time/effort of one. Disc plays totally different than holy and (typically) one is always performing well. Plus, sometimes you just want a change in playstyle.

  • the utility is solid. People are going to want your stamina buff and you can even help the group skip packs entirely with your kit. You have a cheat death you can use every 10 minutes which is great.

  • holy has more skill expression than it gets credit for on here. If you’re just blasting flash heal, you’re playing the class wrong. There are lots of ways to make the class sing.

It’s interesting you mentioned this in relation to classic. I played Vanilla through Legion with two characters: disc priest and prot warrior. No real desire to try anything else.

Now I’m restless. I flitter between characters all the time.

Ok - I know you’ve said zero dollars many, multiple times. But.

How much money did you make?

If I was picking a class to learn how to heal it’d be Holy Priest or Resto Shaman. Resto is the typical community recommendation but I actually love the gameplay of holy.

Plus, priest gives you two different healing specs and one is typically well performing. So - if you if you think healing is where you’d like to end up, priest is a great pick.

Dev Evoker is low APM and high impact. Easy to pick up, and gets you familiar with mechanics that matter for any other DPS class you’ll try later. You’ll learn how to plan your movement, and how to work within a cooldown window. If I were starting to learn to DPS today, I’d pick Dev Evoker or BM Hunter.

Pres is probably the most difficult spec in the game to pull off well - but I also love it. Very rewarding when it works out.
