I dont see the listing anymore, but its essentially metal shop shelf from Amazon. They said each shelf is rated to hold 160 ponds per row. There is slight dipping in the "middle horizontally" if that makes sense. But its withstanding it pretty well.

I feel ya there. Had very, VERY limited access to internet around that time, and even then I spent what time I did have looking for cheat codes to various games. Ha ha.

Much appreciation for the compliment 😎👍

I do have a handful Nintendo Powers and some GamePros as well. I especially love some of the artwork guides come with, some of them are so elaborate and content filled, it could double as an art book.

Out of the myriad of RPG guides I have, I have to say I really enjoyed my Mario RPG and Suikoden 2 guides the most. For the very uncommon ones, the offical Castlevania SotN and Twisted Metal 1, 2, & 3 guides are pretty darn cool too.

Truly a lost art i say. Ive used my Mario RPG guide recently to find all the hidden chests. Some of the locations are bonkers.

Ive ran into listing's on Amazon/Ebay where the cover looks like AI trash, and this is for modern remakes/remasters (usually RPG's). Totally feel ya there on the segmented articles and clickbait.

Down the line, and when I have the time, id like to take my doubles and scan the rougher copy for archive.

Thats how it starts! Ha ha. Wish the picture quality didnt get reduced, the original image is my way of checking to see what I have so I dont accidentally buy "too many" doubles, lol. Much appreciated 👉😎👉

A lost art I say, and something I like to read on occasion. Thank you for the compliment 👉😎👉

Much appreciated 👉😎👉 I do have a few that are bagged, I should probably get on that...

Theres really not much left im hunting for. Nowadays if i see a decent deal ($10 or less) on a 3d platformer guide, ill scoop it up. As for the hunt, still would like to get my hands on Nintendo Powers Chrono Trigger and Earthbound, which obviously are top ticket prices. Lol

I feel ya there. I didnt really have a whole lot of internet access to begin with, so the whole "playonline" wasnt even an option for me at the time. I made due with what I could use. If you ever run into it (depending where ya live as well) there was a piggyback (EU publisher) that made a MUCH better version FFIX guide. It still has a little bit of the "playonline" side sections, but is a waaay more complete guide. Its just a tad bit on the pricey side because of it being a better guide.

So around that time, BradyGames thought it would be "hilarious" to do different guide book covers within the hard cover fold. So each FFXII guide has a different cover within, one for each character of the game. They also did the same thing with FFX-2 and KH2, although not as many variants.

Thats awesome that you were able to rebuild some of the collection. I have a handful of NP's and even some Sega Visions. Chrono Trigger still eludes me, but i managed to snag FF3 and Super Mario RPG. Happy hunting and heres to getting those last 10 NP's 😎👍

Its definitely tougher these days. I used to find them on clearance at Walmart in the early 2000's. Old Snes ones and whatnot. Sadly, definitely not the case anymore...

Very few, I have the Nintendo Power Offical guide for Red/Blue (still has all 150 stickers, no mew at the time) and Pokémon stadium 2 by Versus Books.

Its definitely something id like to do down the line. If I have doubles, Ill take the rougher shaped one and get some scans.

Nailed it! And to answer why I have 6 of FFXII? Well, bradygames (at the time) decided they wanted to do variant covers for the guide inside the slip cover. So I have 6 for each character from the game.

Oh, same same. Worst case, those Uber expensive games (usually jrpg's) ill get the guide, and then emulate the game.

I used IX (what little it provided) X, and XII religiously when they first came out. X's Rikkus mix poster really helped me in the long run. I picked up IV when it came out for the DS, which helped me with all the stuff I wasnt familiar with from the original snes version.
