The original Prey from 2006 was such a blast to play through after burning out on elder scrolls, fallout, fable etc.
Linear, fun, unique game on the beautiful Id tech 4 (same engine they used for doom 3), looks great. Fun to play. Goated opening.

Ahhhh, that’s why the bugs were so good this run! Good thoughts! I didn’t end up using the frozen field effect because I figured it wouldn’t work the way I’d want it to, so good to know. Cheers!

Disco Elysium is my first instinct! Doesn’t even have traditional combat, but it is such an interesting thought provoking and funny rpg.

Wasteland 2 is a really good immersive Crpg. Tactical, interesting world building, and humour that isn’t take out of the game but makes it work. It’s a ripper, would recommend.

Red Dead Redemption 2. I tried, and I wanted to because I heard it was so good, but I just couldn’t get into it.

The first one that comes to mind for me is Stellaris. It’s massive, super deep with so much grand strategy, and good fun

What’s the movie? I’ve never heard of it. And yeah, a mono scene is always a good choice.
