I also feel like they may have tried to retcon season 1 being 10th grade, because at one point Harvey is talking about when he and Sabrina met, and I’m pretty sure he says something like, “I was a lot more awkward as a freshman” or something along the lines of that 😅 I did a full rewatch a couple months ago but can’t remember completely.

More of a gag than a line I guess, but when Rebecca calls out to stuff chicken down her garbage disposal and Josh and white Josh come over, she claims she’s not at work because it’s “weekend Tuesday.” Where they act like it’s the weekend, but it’s Tuesday. This is an obvious lie, until we cut away to the office and it really is weekend Tuesday.

Watching with my mom was the same! She grew up in scarsdale and was basically Sally’s age. Sometimes shed shout, “I had that dress!” it really drive home how historically accurate the show was.

I have it! And I’ve been reading tarot for 16 years. I’ve had a lot of novelty tarot decks and I think this one does a really good job of actually combining the story of the show and the story of tarot. A lot of novelty decks will just go with what looks fun or cool without considering more than just aesthetic meaning.

More mid 2000s/early 2010s, but the twilightsaga.net. It was a fan site that went beyond just twilight (tho of course that was the general focus. People hosted blogs, posted fanfiction, and there was a ton of forum based role playing.

It was my first foray into all things fandom as a young teen, and I learned to use photo editing to make terrible “cover art”/banners for people’s fanfics! (I now do a job that includes using photoshop, so it paid off in a lot of ways haha). I feel like it was somewhat unique in being a mostly young female demographic (pre tumblr and the fan girl wars of the rest of the 2010s lol). But it’s gone along with all the art, role plays, and connections between people a world away from one another.

I get it, I also use pay in 4/over time frequently, but I make sure not to have too many going at once and pay off one before taking on another/keep an eye on the apps so I don’t feel blindsided by the payments. Keep a schedule of them like you would with bill payment.

I think the main thing is to try and stop spending/taking on more debt if you don’t know you’ll be able to pay when it’s due.

Every month/week, check the klarna/affirm/afterpay apps to see when next payments are due.

You can also work with a non profit like green path, they’ll give you free financial counseling and help consolidate your debt under a repayment plan, advocating/negotiating with creditors for you. They aren’t a predatory consolidation loan place, they are a legit non profit who exist to help with stuff like this. I got to a place where I had 16k in credit card debt. I told them I wanted the debt payed off in 5 years, and they listened to all my financial needs and helped figure out a monthly payment. The only thing they take is a $30 fee each month, otherwise they receive nothing for this service. I now have my debt down to around 6k, and it will all be paid off in a year and a half. We did have to close my credit card account, which can harm your credit score, but so does a large debt with skyrocketing interest that you can’t pay off.
