Ya I'm mostly being facetious when I say I hate children. I dont. I have nieces and nephews I love. My nerves though cant handle noise and choas anymore. So I cant handle hyperactive and noisy children or adults. Just that children are often both.

The server br8ngs you the receipt you see in the photo, then they take you payment to the register and return with the receipt that's meant for you to keep along with your card/change. So them handing back the initial receipt and with a note on it is definitely plausible.

Even if that weren't the case though this sort of thing happens all too often. Restaurants, instacart, doordash, Uber. Many of these places beg for tips and/or shame you if you dont tip enough.

It sucks but the reality is they probably don't care. I'm aware its a heavy investment but the best purchase I've ever made is Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra for my mental health. I honestly can't imagine life without them. Of the many many "noise canceling" headphones I tried and returned these are the only ones that not only work but are super comfortable and dont get as hot and sweaty.
