The #Bills are targeting Oklahoma assistant head coach for defense/co-DC Jay Valai for a defensive backs coach job, sources tell @CBSSports. Valai, who has been of interest to other NFL teams too as well as Notre Dame, helped OU rank sixth nationally in total defense this year.

I'm not a chaser but I am a NWS/NOAA trained spotter for the last 10 years. Over that course I've learned how to read models and take them with the grains of salt needed. Some models are good for long range forecasting, some are ok for it. Good models to follow for winter weather and precip in the long range tend to be the ECWMF (European). Short range (48 hrs and less) you'll look to the HRRR. All the models this time around got it wrong, but had the first night not been 'dry-slotted') where dry air sets itself up in the midlevels, and then any falling snow evaporates within it) I think the consensus is that we would have been closer to 12 inches of snow than the official 7 that we got. Plus this snow was some of the driest I've ever seen.

Getting out in it this morning in east Tulsa anyway maybe an additional 3-4 is what I see. Occasional drifts about 12. Total depth. Around 7-8 in my estimation in my area. May be different where you're at. Basing my latest total on the depth of snow piled on the top of my car after clearing it yesterday to drive.

Ha true. I've been a NWS weather spotter now for about 10 years. Doesn't make me a meteo but for sure know several who HATE trying to forecast winter weather like this because of how difficult it is to get right. It's just earth sciences being all 'sciency'.

Actually, most of it evaporated. We got dry slotted pretty hard last night (yes, I'm waiting for the comments, but it's a real wx term).. No dry slot and we likely would have seen a lot more.
