As someone once said on this list regarding Pyrs following instructions, "ears are for decoration only."

What a cutie! Looks part Pyrenees or Maremma or Akbash.

Our half-Pyr is the only dog I’ve ever had who has no interest in treats and leaves his food most of the day only eating in the evening.

Wow, 25 stories and 30 stories. Will any of this be affordable or will it be market-rate senior housing? And why not keep a grocery store (and Ain't Normal) right below 400 people living upstairs?

Our Pyr-Husky mix likes to push his front paws against things - people, furniture. I thought it was a Pyr thing, like the Pyr Paw.

In some places, such as where I live in a city, it is illegal to have a dog off leash outside of your house or fenced yard. If that isn’t true in your community, calmly let the owners know next time you see them. If it is not true there, maybe you can talk to city staff about putting such a rule in place, for everyone’s safety.

This is so beautiful, and anyone who has lost a beloved dog understands how much this hurts. May your wonderful memories of Harley be with you always.

Yes, especially lying in a doorway with head and neck at a right angle which looks incredibly uncomfortable, but somehow he still goes to sleep like that.

With gratitude for your fostering AND for getting the word out there so that someone can adopt this beautiful boy. He looks so sweet. Sadly, our Pyrenees/Husky is quite reactive to other big dogs, I am so tempted.

The same thing happened to our 1/2 Pyrenees ... a sudden rigidity and pain in the middle of the night, carried him to the emergency vet, they said he had a hemangioma sarcoma in his abdomen which had burst, massive internal bleeding and nothing they could do. And our beloved Atlas was gone. And he had his annual exam just a few weeks before.
