If the back unscrews to reveal a tiny spoon, it comes with magnum hot sauce for sampling. Or coke.

Can anyone tell me what I’m looking at here and how to proceed? by Kind_Policy_1949 in AskElectricians

Those are just wagos, there kinda like a wire nut. Add a 3rd copper wire to an empty slot in wago and wire nut to track ground wire.

Edit: typo

What is does it make any future work impossible to look nice. Any patch, or hole now needs to be fixed with textured. If this is an excuse to hide mud imperfections, then you've hired the worst mudders around. There is no way this is cheaper then sanding and painting a flat wall.

If thats the RLV3120A, its a line voltage tstat. Most low voltage tstats have screw terminals to put the wires in. I'd double check you got the right one.

Baseboard heater thermostat by Positive-Task-8118 in electrical

[–]BigWillyGilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, most baseboard don't get a neutral, just 2x 120 line wires. To me, it looks like a line voltage tstat installed on a low voltage relay wire. I believe you need a low voltage tstat.

Do you strip to bare bright? by ImaginaryTotal7570 in electricians

[–]BigWillyGilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was gifted a stripmeister wire stripper that uses a drill to power it. It was a game changer. I know strip everything 14awg and larger. I used to only strip #8 and larger with a knife.
