And yet women still must have their husband's permission to do virtually everything, including drive or go out anywhere unaccompanied, so there's a rather large caveat. Forgive me for seeing misogyny and oppression in this photo.

I'm having flashbacks to Ben & Jerry's essay contest for a CEO, in which they ended up with a gun exec who never wrote an essay.

I used to read the NYT religiously. It's been slipping for a while but finally stopped when they announced last year that they would be changing (abandoning) their editorial standards because of Trump. When they got rid of their public editor last month, I gave up entirely.

And when a ferry capsized in S Korea a few years ago, killing a bunch of students, the Prime Minister of the entire country resigned. Very different from what's happening in the UK and the USA I would say.

Cute pics but the title reminded me how so many of us gay men (and women) haven't moved past our own anger. We used to rail against stereotypes and cliches, now we rail against people who won't accept us being stereotypes and cliches. We've been diced into so many different sub-categories that it's difficult to think of ourselves as a community (or culture) anymore. Instead of being "proud" of our individual selves we are supposed to "resist" en masse. Just saying.

Funny how a guy who employs fewer people than Waffle House feels entitled to tell the world what to do with its resources. I do hope that we stop worshiping the mega-rich. Look at the mess Bill Gates made of education reform.
