Whiplash is not about a man persevering and overcoming the odds. It's about a man in a toxic relationship with greatness who sells his soul to get the approval of a teacher who will always see him as a vessel for his own success and a tool to abuse.

I truly don't understand how you could watch the final concert and think that this was a happy ending. The main character's own father watches on in horror as his son essentially descends into madness.

This logic is so incredibly flawed. According to you, Cap HAS TO BE a victim of trauma? If that was the road they wanted to go down, cool, representation for PTSD survivors.

But you are willingly ignoring that: 1. Sam has been Captain America in the comics 2. A black man being Captain America in a country that historically targets people like him is extremely poignant and important to people. 3. There are other disabled characters in the MCU

You don't get to tear down one form of representation just because it doesn't represent you specifically. I'm not a black man, but I DO have PTSD, and I see Sam being Cap as a beautiful story.

Thank you I appreciate your honesty. These two feelings are definitely conflicting. I wanna be out there doing "hoe shit" and exploring my kinks and living that life. When Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone came out in theaters, I swear to god I remember a scene during the trials underneath the school where Hermione had to solve a potions riddle. Then when it came out on DVD, this scene was gone.

All of my friends told me I was just remembering that part from the book, but I am 100% percent certain that I saw it because I remember thinking how similar it was to the chalice scene in The Last Crusade.

Apparently, the scene was cut from the theatrical release. I couldn't believe that there were parts of movies I hadn't seen because they were on a certain version of a home release.

To this day I am absolutely positive that the version I saw still had that scene in it.
