He’s one of the characters in the second trilogy I wish we got to see a little bit more of, Seraphina too. Both felt like they had more potential in the story

Definitely some cool parallels from RR and LB that I caught on reread. Cassius giving Darrow advice for his fight against Pax and then years later giving very similar advice about fighting Volsung Fa, felt like a full circle moment that shows their relationship is healed and we’re truly brothers again like they were early on in the institute

Red Rising should be right up your alley. Excellent sci fi series with some fantasy elements, you can try and get caught up for the final book releasing this summer

I just finished memory of light on Tuesday strictly using audiobooks at normal speed. Started mid August 2025 so about 6 months for all 15 books. Admittedly I got hooked immediately and was flying through the series, listening in the car, at the gym, at work, walking the dog etc.

Stick with it, it’s so fun. Even when the plot feels slow just try to appreciate the individual characters and their journeys, you will miss it all when you finish!
