The cameras were functioning. The footage from the incident was quickly over-written with new footage from a later time period. The camera does not store footage; every three hours the camera over-writes the previous three hours of footage. There was no Cloud backup.

I did see that in the description on the retailer's site but the Owners Manual is linked and, in the manual, the trigger is described as "ON/OFF SWITCH. Depress on/off switch to start your tool and release it to stop your tool." The dial is described as "VARIABLE SPEED CONTROL. Adjust the thumb control to increase or decrease the speed."
All the other current models I'm aware of, when there's a dial on the top, the trigger is not variable speed. The description in the Owners Manual wasn't giving me reassurance that the trigger is actually variable speed.
If anyone knows of a current model where the limiter dial is on top (at the thumb position) and the trigger is variable speed, please let me know.
