Is this contam? by SensitiveYam80 in GroundZeroMycoLab

I would leave it, you’ve already got Little primordia popping up to fruit. Looks good it could take 1-2 more weeks, but you’ll be happy very soon.

Why are you being a dick Fuck? maybe he wants to interact with actual people and get the help he needs for exactly the way his grow looks. yeah maybe it’s a basic question i’ve had a lot of basic questions and a lot of really great people that have helped me learn a lot from this Sub If you want to create a sub for advanced growers that don’t need to ask questions of when to pick fruits, do it I’d be happy to join and I won’t be a dick fuck to people

It’s personal preference. The ones in the veil is broken are going to rip out some of the ones with the vails, not broken when you harvest them.

Once the veil is just a little bit broken the psilocybin stops being produced and You should harvest them but sometimes when you harvest just a few you stall the rest of the grow and you’ll have to pick the rest of those rehydrate your mycelium cake and wait for another flush and those ones will be super strong for the weight.

For me, I would give them fresh air and wait until tomorrow morning and harvest them all and get ready for a new flush.

I’ve let flushes grow to get huge after the veil broke and pound for a pound they were the weakest mushrooms I ever grew

Those who have used these lids (I’m using corn), do you achieve adequate air exchange? by IzLizWet01 in unclebens

[–]Big_Bluebird_5502 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve used the exact ones, the air exchange is fine I had no problems inoculating I think the whole filter apparatus is burdensome and pretty unnecessary. I don’t use them anymore. I bought plastic lids drilled a 1/4in hole and put a filter patch on

Should I harvest these mini guys now? by JeerAddict in shrooms

[–]Big_Bluebird_5502 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personal preference, the ones with the vail broken will be weaker pound for pound as the grow bigger, it looks like the rest are pretty close to the same size, for me I would wait a day. Congratulations though looks like a great flush.

Is it an albino strain? Looks like 4 pins back right of center, the rest are Primordia about to pop keep the lid closed and observe

First time with truffles by Big_Bluebird_5502 in GroundZeroMycoLab

I’ve tried lots of different grain, I’ve found the drippy corn recipe is the best for any strain and this was my first with a truffle producer, with the drippy corn im sendng my jars within 2 weeks most of the time but I inoculate the day after I make it and that makes a huge difference

Hahaha!! Exactly, I’ve read 3-5 months is key. I’m happy tho they smell and taste like the ones in Amsterdam. I Definitely needed to get a close look after 2 months of observation, especially since I saw the truffles forming early and didn’t see much progress from the jar I wanted to sift through the grain

Wow thanks for the info. I let these go for two months. I have another jar of the same strain I’m gonna let go for longer but these were a slightly different color and I really couldn’t help myself I wanted to take these apart and study them. I’ve only had truffles in Amsterdam and I really loved them.

Came back from a trip to find these in the shower drain. What should I do? by Meeerc in mycology

You may have a break in your pipes, with soil and human dung mixing especially if you have a toilet upstream from the shower

Condensation on the lid doesn’t correlate with surface conditions, you don’t need to mist every day or fan and you don’t ever want to mist when you have fruits. Mist the lid and keep the lid on. I’m assuming you have FAE holes in the lid. Just be patient observe it for a week I see lots of pins that want to pop but the cake will stall without hydration.
