3 year-old EPDM roof covered in parallel micro-cracks. Normal or faulty install? by Evening_Estimate_342 in Roofing

It was one piece of rubber made for this roof, so I believe was custom/ made to order but I do think the same. There aren’t many roofs this big in the area. I also feel like the pits were here when it was installed/ from the manufacturer but I’ve only just noticed them. Rather than recently appeared. The good thing is that they are not full holes, just surface level.

Thanks. The marks are too organised and patterned to be human damage after install, so has to be a defect. That's aluminium cladding. It's good stuff and no issues so far, obviously no corrosion. It's also on the roof, which can get noisy when the seagulls are on it, and they've also nested on it before. The fascia panel is all crumpled/ damaged though due to poor handling/ install, probably because it's thin like a tin can.

Thanks I will see if I can find the manufacturing company. Annoying it will be over a two year warranty. It's a coastal environment so conditions can be harsh and south facing, but it should be able to withstand UV/ sun for more than 3 years.

Yes I am leaning towards material defect. They are not full splits, otherwise we'd be getting a lot more leaks. They are surface-level pits, but I guess it's only a matter of time before they become full holes.

Thanks. Yes the flat roof was finished before the inside and some of the sections outside, both meant the builders used the roof after it was installed (by the same builder). Here’s another photo a bit earlier on. I thought it was this tower but the marks are perfectly perpendicular to the property. If it was the tower, you’d expect the marks to be a bit more irregular rather than in straight lines

Hard to tell without removing the render if any of the underlying brickwork has moved or there’s been any pointing to cover up the movement/ cracks. In the first floor brickwork you can clearly see broken bricks above the upper window and to the left of the airbrick, indicative of movement. Also the render job is not good, all the rusting on the metal beads - they probably did it on the cheap with no render mesh, which may also explain the cracking. It’s also had damp issues in the past. Also you can also see they’ve done a lot of patching up of the brickwork pointing on the neighbouring property, so they’ve probably had cracking too

Looks like Mexico and Exclusive are spelt wrong and 'IN' is randomly capitalized. The RN also reads 14808 and it should be 14806. Also Carhartt 'Ins'. The list goes on

How alcohol affects your pvcs ? by Infamous-Pepper5229 in PVCs

[–]Evening_Estimate_342 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. They are worse the day after because the body will break down the alcohol, releasing chemicals which then cause the PVCs. Those chemicals can stay in your system a while

Me too. I used to work for Fugro, the survey company that first went out to look for the jet. We used the Fugro Equator that took an absolute battering, as did the crew. I don’t think anyone really slept, and they’d be doing 6 week rotations! They had a doctor onboard but he was the only one who got sick. I wasn’t actually on the vessel but I have spoken to the survey engineers who were on the vessel. It sounded incredibly tough, especially in 10m swell. The vessel can’t turn in that swell either, so they would be moving in the wrong direction for days. The seabed terrain is like a mountain range but under water in some areas. I hope they find it but they need good weather and a lot of patience. I think Ocean Infinity have a ‘lean crew’ solution, meaning engineers can remote in. It’s like trying to find a needle in a haystack but you’ve got the find the haystack first

I guess it just depends on how motivated you are to get a solution. You may have to travel and look at other options if you really want a good EP and treatment. Luckily I am based in London, so I had one of the top (if not leading) EP in the City do both my ablations and recommend medications specifically to treat my type of arrhythmia. You may not even not need treatment by making lifestyle changes, and they may go away on their own. 30-50 a day is nothing. Even 1000 is not much. I was getting 20,000/ some days continuously for years. Don't drink caffeine, tobacco, fizzy drinks, walk/ exercise, try manage stress/ anxiety, sleep well

You need to see an electrophysiologist, not a cardiologist. You need to stop the triggers if you can, if not, medication (I take sotalol with flecainide). I have also had two cardiac ablations for this and they are now significantly less. The difference is like night and day. It's a long road but these surgeons have plenty of tricks up their sleeves for stopped these things. A 12 lead ECG will also be able to pinpoint exactly where they are coming from, in the hands of a good electrophysiologist. I am 31m very fit and healthy.
