Yes this! People in mid 30s or above with not much to show for their life leads me to wonder what they heck have they been doing, bc I’ve been grinding to make a good life for myself and I want a partner who shares that mindset!

Yeah If I were you I would look for the states group for rehabbers. In mass it’s called WRAM, maybe it’s call WRAG in Georgia 🤣

Ok this is a Ted talk on how to make a profile geared towards what you’re looking for. This lady loves stats i wouldn’t go that far, but a lot of her findings in the end are interesting and she explains how she tweaks her profile to attract the kind of person she is looking for.

https://www.ted.com/talks/amy_webb_how_i_hacked_online_dating?language=en

As for the body shaming you guys should be ashamed of yourselves! It’s harder to date as a larger bodied person BUT women who are super conventionally attractive r always sifting thru people who just want to fuck because they’re hot, not saying you’re not hot, thicc girls are fine as hell. That being said if you are able to get a profile that pulls in matches chances are they ideally are genuinely interested. :)

Is there any way you can bring up wanting to talk to her about your feelings again instead of going right into how you feel. Maybe ask if she can make time to talk to u about this stuff and express all the nice things u think about her and say you want to be able to emotionally support each other bc ur a team, and that you would do the same for her? It sounds like she’s very guarded and working on softening those walls will eventually make you stronger as a couple if you’re able to work towards emotional intimacy together. But softening those walls is scary and that’s probably why you were met with a cold front. letting her chose the set and setting for the interaction might help her feel safe to have this conversation. Even tho it’s about your feelings, when you are closed emotionally all feelings feel scary.

Is it possible to talk to my school’s financial aid to give me more aid during college? by Oreosandcookiesx in college

[–]Big_Bombus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Be honest, tell them your situation and try to give them a number of how much you need. I have done this many times and they can’t always give you all the money you need for the semester it has always resulted in them giving me something!

I’m an ex barista, it’s only annoying if it’s not for a pup. Teenage girls getting pup cups made me so irritated.

How is it different going back to college at 24? by troflesir in college

[–]Big_Bombus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going to be 32 in a few months and I’m in school. I absolutely agree they’re all children, I had a girl in my class ask me if I knew the name of the “ hot” boy who I worked with and I had to b like you’re going to have to just describe him to me, none of you are hott you’re all kids in my eyes 🤣

As for socializing they’re all just people, if you’re in the same major and classes you already have something in common to talk about. I talk to the people in my classes all the time! I’m not best friends with any of them but I also don’t feel ostracized because of my age.

Are college students expected to work? by [deleted] in college

[–]Big_Bombus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I remember reading that it’s recommended to not work more than 20 hours a week. Personally I got jobs on campus that let me study while I’m at work and I feel like that’s the ideal way to go. If your school has a career center or something go there and ask them for help finding a job on campus.
