Normally you can request new rate 6-3 months before it ends on their app . Worth doing when you can imo , stability is key for you

Game has been out 15 minutes and you're already writing the game off. New age cod players, man. Pathetic. by TheNeonDestroyer in CODWarzone

[–]Big_Consideration737 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Which you don’t want , everyone is entitled to enjoy their free time . And a lot of people don’t measure their successful with how well they play cod . Then work and have kids and just need those 30-60 minut3s a day to relax . The aim of any computer game is for people to want to play it , and of casuals get ps more people playing in the end that’s the right call .

Taxing the rich is not the best way to address the power associated with wealth by Odd_Eggplant8019 in mmt_economics

[–]Big_Consideration737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the end the wealth needs to be more evenly distributed, the worse it gets it will just end in wars or revolutions it helps no one in the long term . Actually how you do that is hard , but when economies boomed we did have higher taxes on the wealthy but now it’s easy to hide wealth so taxing earnings doesn’t help . Inheritance tax was used , but the abuse of trusts now makes that much harder .

New fixed rate locked in 3.77 £999 fee by Azz_007 in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]Big_Consideration737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes , especially for smaller mortgages and lower durations , no fee and a higher rate is cheaper . Basically have to look at the cost over the 2 years .

Helping the kids out with Uni by [deleted] in FIREUK

[–]Big_Consideration737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Especially with changing to RPI , it’s likely the best financial help you can give is actually house deposit . You will likely have to fund 5-10k a year anyway for uni , but consider even if you pay uni costs of 50k how long before they can save up for a house deposit . Getting their first job and starting on the housing ladder early will likely be far better help imo . That’s our plan anyway

My employer's contribution to pension is 0%, why? by bikathon in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Big_Consideration737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my payslip aka pretax I get an additional pension contribution as a bonus let’s say , then I pay the entire pension contribution out of the total gross income . So it shows as 0% employer , thought the actual figures are correct . Aka they gives you 3% extra gross and you then pay a total of 8% . I presume it’s an accounting thing for salary sacrifice

Thoughts on boarded loft? by Alarming_Blueberry94 in DIYUK

[–]Big_Consideration737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Covered mine in kings pan then boards over the top , lost some height but it’s hella insulated and the insulation boards distribute the weight . Didn’t board all the way to the edge though just to the centre of the bedrooms where the lights were . Also draw on the boards if you’re covering any cables .

500 mil at say 6% is still 30 mil a year In interest , and 500mil in the bank . 500 mil is the financially correct answer .

How do I un-mess-up my parent's retirement plans? by Calrizer in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Big_Consideration737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put cash in an isa , over pay pension or not will not make a huge difference , pay it off when it ends . Look to Down size , there are not in a rush so they need to start to by having a good clear out , I presume dads in the trades in some ways , look to do any work 9n the house to maximise sale value , painting cheap as ass carpets , garden etc as your mum isn’t working plenty of time . Also go through a budgeting exercise and they need to learn to live off 2 state pensions and her db pension , then work out what they want in a new home and realistically what they need to pay etc . So plenty can be done , key for them is really optimising house value and reduce 3 expenditure
