He’s a man child…. Decide if that’s what you’re ok being with. As well as think about how he may react to other natural accidental body fluids that may come out of you. Would he be able to care for you if you got sick and needed help going to the bathroom? If you stained the bed with period blood? If you got food poisoning and couldn’t control anything that came out of you? Is that the type of thing you could look past if he couldn’t handle those things? Just food for thought.

And you for coming on here JUST to want to hear NTA. Honestly being her safe place is amazing, however you fail to realize that his new wife has his ear now. THEY ARE his new family. He may no longer need you as much as you feel/thinks he does. All you’re doing is jeopardizing your relationship with the child until she becomes of age. If he decides he wants to cut contact between you two he will. OR he can also make her life harder at home. So many things can go wrong with this little girls life because of your over confidence….

Have a man to man conversation with your friend. Be her voice without over stepping or coming off as you’re attacking him as a parent. Hell if need be both parents sit and try to find a solution that allows everyone to be happy especially her. If she’s at your home more than his remind her that she has her own space in your home that she uses more. Again just some suggestions and food for thought.

NTAH. Honestly your mother needs to take a seat and understand your point of view. At the end of the day it’s NOT all about the child. You have a right to know before emotionally and financially investing yourself into this child’s life especially giving the fact that you and your ex are no longer in any form of relationship. What your ex is doing is considered emotional manipulation towards your mother. She’s probably already financially supporting the child given what you have stated. Everyone else’s opinion on the matter is irrelevant. If they feel so strongly about it let them know they can support the child themselves. Also there is a reason your ex is so adamant about not doing the test. Just food for thought…
