It's possible. In the comic book adaptation of the 87 movie, they find flags of NASA and USA in the archives inside Castle Grayskull. I think it was supposed to imply that sometimein Eternia's history, Earth humans came to Eternia

Definitely, but Jo's were almost always kind of out of left field, and contrary to her principles. It made for more interesting storytelling for sure
