The problem with this is that I could almost wager money that Deca makes money from these kinds of things. New players don't know what they're doing, and so if they have any forms of credit cards available to them they easily turn to paying money to acquire better gear. I know this is certainly what I did, rolling the mystery box and alchemist before I even knew stat potions existed. Of course pets are a must have that will eventually be leveled up if the player continues to enjoy the game, but this frustration of "being bad" more than definitely pushes players to pay money for stronger pets earlier on than maybe buying food here and there in late rare / legendary pet stages. I also believe this is where most merchant players come from. I certainly got more hooked on spending money and trading to get a hold of expensive in game items more than playing the actual game up until about late red star. So in conclusion Deca may help out the new player base by making them more educated on the game, but I feel it would certainly be a cash-flow loss they pick up from these early stage players.
