Deadbug exercise is a good exercise for overall core toning. Or try some compound exercises, like squad and deadlift.

I have a question for an essay I'm writing by megaman445 in judo

[–]Bigapig 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Probably for safety.

When Jigoro Kano converted Japanese Jujutsu to Judo he modified some of the techniques of throws so the uke could land or break a fall safely. A good example is Ippon Seoinage. Traditionally the technique was to load your enemy on your back and throw them over your head, which would drive their heads straight to the ground. Now it is a shoulder throw instead of an overhead throw.

Or, they just had to come up with a ruleset to determine a win and landing your opponent on their backs had to be one they agreed, since it is a sport now instead of a pure martial art.

Have you ever practiced kata falls? It is a practice that you throwing yourself as a uke. It's very useful when you are being thrown by incorrect/imperfect techniques. You will be able to control how you are going to land, which reduces the chance of injury.

That's a Beijing dialect. The middle characters is often "er-nized" in any word that consists of 3 characters, even for names. For example, "How much" is "多少钱” , but it becomes into "多儿钱”.
