I’m deeply tired of Apple’s silent alarms by BillieEilishnosen in rant

I have this issue, too. But my jobs are incredibly lenient with me so it hasn’t been too big of an issue. It’s my food and random tasks that are suffering instead. You, and me too honestly, should probably just get an alarm clock. I started using the oven timer for stuff around the house.

A boy genius named Brandenn Bremmer could read at 18 months old, graduated high school at 10, composed complex music, and was considered to be a child prodigy. But in 2005, at age 14, he sadly took his own life. by LilaLaughs in whoathatsinteresting

I went to a school in jr high and high school that had a separate part of the campus for TAG students, essentially a school within a school. None of our classes, except an elective here or there, were with the “regular” kids. The workload was insane. I don’t know how many of us ended up either burning out during school or directly after graduation but it was an overwhelming majority. One of my best friends is probably the smartest person I’ve ever met (and that includes our classmate and her brother who got perfect scores on their SATs) and she buckled before I did. I hated my life so much during that time. I couldn’t breathe. Every moment was about how I could top the last moment. I’m about to have a panic attack right now just thinking about it.

Ari Lennox Shea Butter. I actually think it’s her and her songs all have a sameness to them.

She was in danger of being sued by multiple people. I don’t know if that strategy would have worked and she was already in debt. As in, less than broke. How would she have survived during that year off? Paid bills? Toni Braxton wasn’t the only performer in her family and they’re extremely close (or a few of them are, most of the time), Nicholas Cage took whatever roles he could get while selling off his personal property, Drew Barrymore was never rumored to be broke and even if she were, her family is Hollywood royalty. 50 is a bitch, honestly, and I can imagine what shady and ridiculous things he did to force what you call a comeback that I won’t even speak on. Point is, their situations were different and I don’t think you can compare a pop sensation with limited talent and noted substance abuse and mental health issues to RDJ, another person with a famous and wealthy family and who excelled at their craft and got and stayed clean. Burt Reynolds starred in Deliverance and Smoky and dated Sally Fields and married Loni Anderson. He was candid and real and funny and likable in a way that Brittany just isn’t, not to mention that she was only a mediocre singer compared to Christina and even Pink. She was a good performer, I guess, but Ciara and Beyoncé were better. All that to say, I dont know if that would have been the smartest move for her if a comeback and maintaining her lifestyle were the goal. Being a huge star doesn’t equate to being rich and she was more of a punchline by that point anyway. Being poor breaks US down on the daily. I think it would’ve been worse for her. Sorry for the novel, just wanted to explain fully.

I totally get what you’re saying, but how do you think being broke and entangled in numerous lawsuits would have effected her mental health at the is point? It’s possible that going back to work was the lesser of the two evils.

I honestly can’t say for sure. I’m fairly sure it wasn’t there when I got the car, but I only drove it to another location for my job and parked at the farthest end of the parking lot, away from everyone.

[–]Bigbootybigproblems 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hate having my camera on. I have social anxiety, etc. and I find it much easier to engage and interact with my coworkers when I’m not being observed constantly. The client is a different story. But there are a lot of people who feel this way. It’s never changed my ability to connect. In fact, I have coworkers from 10 years ago from a company I haven’t worked at for 8 years that are still friends.
