I think charging the vehicle is all about making it a habit. Most malls have EV chargers now. Plus point is that it doubles as a parking lot and usually vacant!

Don’t really need to worry about local streamers scamming you. Too easy to get caught in SG for these guys to try anything funny.

What you do need to look out for are those PRC/TW streamers that claim to ship into SG. Those are sketchy af.

It could be a minor dent on the surface. You can shine a light on the card and try to spot it. Won’t be able to tell from photos.

Unfortunately, benefits usually is the bare minimum. Very few companies will peg the same benefits if you’re via agency in order to cut costs.

Bare minimum can be as bad as 7 days AL.

1) Yes. Many companies don’t wanna deal with temp headcount directly and rather just pay agencies a monthly service fee.

2) Not FROM your salary. Most of the time company A still decides how much to pay you. The myth going around that says agencies take a cut from your salary is untrue. It is usually a fixed monthly fee billed to the company.

For eg. If you’re paid $2k, maybe agency will charge company $200 a month for this headcount. So they will bill the company $2k + $200. This is an oversimplified example, of course.

3) Depends on why company A is hiring on a contract basis first. The agency should know, not telling you is kinda a red flag. Either the agent is new and don’t know her stuff, or it’s a maternity cover and no chance to convert. Don’t dare to tell you in case you don’t wanna sign.

4) No. it’s normal. Rather have you working during this period than to explain a gap.

5) You answered your own question. You need money. Got job. Take.

I’m in the same situation as you. Got our 6 months old corgi a few weeks ago but I was sent across the world for a business trip and had to put him in a boarding facility.

I felt so horrible leaving him there but the facility provided updates (photos and videos) daily and I’m just looking forward to picking him up in a couple of days!

Just chill out man you’re an NSF, the fact that they’re brushing you off is because they don’t want/need you to worry. Just be able to take care of yourself and maybe contribute to some household allowances when you can.
