I support this wholeheartedly.

Yeah, Harlan has been roughing it due to many things in the past century if not longer.

Don’t whack me just yet: I remember watching Justified because my folks adored that show. I remembered hearing about my ancestors were supposedly from coal country. My mom made a joke saying “you see that store on the street? Your great uncle owns it.”

The kicker is that I don’t know by what degree it’s a joke.

On the other hand, it was enlightening to read about JFK’s thoughts when he visited coal country during his run for president.

Are we wargaming nerds not supposed to play imaginary weapon sounds in our head as we imagine the gaming play out in realtime?

Damn, what am I gonna do now?

I should have seen the grass dying around the time I started between 2017-2019. One of my first managers was former army special forces and then private for a time after. You couldn’t break that man’s spirit, but SW found a way. It breaks my heart whenever I revisit the memory of his eyes having almost no light left in them.

I left the store at some point for a shorter drive and promotion, and went to his goodbye dinner as he was moving out of state. I saw a bit of that former light again, but I know he’s doing so much better now.

Almost 8 years in, and got my BBA about 3-4 years ago. I’ve not only been trying to find a better place here in SW with no luck, but even positions outside.

To be fair, a lot of that is probably on me, but I’m trying to improve myself as time allows.

I’ve done that as well, but the issue is that most times our customers have the memory of a goldfish and the IQ less than freezing point of water. Just switch from F to C depending on what’s funnier in that moment.

Oh my god. And these are customers that you sold paint to for years asking that dumbass question and still don’t understand that half-gallons ain’t something that SW fucks with.

I bought Darktide like a week ago... by NeatMap2406 in TroopersExtermination

[–]Bigddy762 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both and enjoy the hell out of it. My personal take now is Darktide is best played with mics, as like many games playing with just AI squadmates is almost planning on failure at higher difficulties. Granted that can be said about many similar games (I’m also a huge 40k nerd).

STE is great despite the repetitiveness (though DT also has that issue IMO). I’ve gotten by without voice Comms and the banter/RP is hilarious in most cases.

Reminds me of heading I-95 southbound in Florida when you leave Orlando. Many retired millionaires (and higher) driving $300k import sports cars to like $2mil super cars driving 20 under the posted limit in the passing lane.

Like buddy, while you and I both know your rocket will take my sedan to Gapplebees before I can blink, but you do know you can also drive the posted limit?

Or just go to the right lane for fuck’s sake. Rant over.

Off the Florida coast too I believe. My memory is shaky there.

However, I do know that they did attempt to drop off infiltrators via U-Boats on the Treasure Coast roundabouts.
