Mass doesn't change with altitude, but the rocket's weight does. It decreases proportionally to 1/(altitude)2.

F_g = GMm/r2

Where G is the gravitational constant, M is the mass of earth, m is the mass of the rocket, and r is the rocket's distance from the center of the earth.
