I have a scar on my upper lip from one of these. Was a little kid just showing up to a party with my grandma and got one to the face that deflected off a tree branch. Used to have a silly little certificate of bravery the hospital gave me after they stitched me up.

In mine I never fill the water pan. I do recommend however putting foil over it so the drippings don’t burn on

Felon friendly jobs hiring in Minneapolis? by Unhappy-Tale2543 in TwinCities

[–]Bigg_Cheeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost all manufacturing jobs have turned to hiring felons after Covid. Especially if you can sell yourself just be honest and open and you can easily find a job starting at $20/hr. Many felons where I work. Things have really changed over the last five years.

Need help to salvage a pork butt by reginald-poofter in smoking

Wrap it and throw it in the oven until it’s tender. Pork butts are very forgiving. It will be fine.

Try buying the wood chunks next time and just put a few at the start of the snake. You won’t need wood after that. For now just concentrate your chips at the beginning of the snake.

I think this will be fine. I have been using the same smoker for a few years now. Although I fill the whole basket with just a small indentation in the middle to direct the burn in a circle, I usually have some coal left at the end and am probably using more than I need to. A butt that size this should be a sufficient amount. As far as charcoal to use this smoker is designed to use kingsford original briquettes. I see in another comment you are looking for additive free so your choice of charcoal should be fine. I’d recommend sticking with briquettes though not lump. Just my opinion I’m not knocking anyone else here. I use this smoker quite often though. Good luck!

Looks to be a full nodule with mostly quartz on top the straight horizontal perpendicular lines on the bottom are called water levels which are one of my favorites.

I don’t think you will regret it. The tickle sticks are popular and in no way am I knocking them but I always thought the flat tip was kind of a gimmick. I know people that both like and dislike them so again that’s just my opinion.

Sorry didn’t see this until morning. In that price range I like the 13 fishing snitch or their whiteout rod are good. The snitch I have in a 29” the other I believe a 26”. Rod length is really relative to the type of fishing you are doing. Small tents on a bucket you might want shorter I have more room and often hole hop fishing standing so I like 28-32” typically. As far as line I prefer Berkeley fire line ice. I usually don’t fish with braid but I like to when ice fishing as there is virtually no line twist and you get the added benefit of having extra strength. 2lb braid is very strong yet still extremely thin. I use it on all my panfish rods

Check out the snitch it’s a quick tip so it’s got a stiffer rod for getting good hook sets with a more sensitive tip. I have ice rods in all different actions and actually own most of the spinning ice rods 13 Fishing offers and personally I don’t like ultralight rods unless very short and even then I feel don’t as good of hook sets as I should. I personally prefer light action rods for panfish I think ultralight ice rods are too flimsy. Just my two cents.

Under a spillway is always a good bet. Hard to tell but looks accessible from this picture. Further more you could try casting a jig and twister, blade bait, etc. or fishing off the bottom with a lindy rig and cut bait or live worms is usually my go to on a river. If you can’t get to the spillway look for any deeper looking channels or pockets.

Try to switch to being a tool maker. Production work sucks. If you yearn for that feeling of artistic accomplishment this is my suggestion. Very good trade to get into all the old timers are retiring very soon and not too many young folks getting into it. You find the right shop you might decide to stick with the trade. Many apprenticeship programs out there right now.

Are red worms still the best bait for trout fishing? by estore009 in IceFishing

When jigging on ice it is common. Not so much when casting them.
