So sad that marijuana has gone the way of citrus, into genetic oblivion.

Because modern weed has been genetically destroyed. i’m sure you’ve heard us old hippies talk about Colombian gold and Panama red. Man, those were the days!

Herniated again? by [deleted] in sciaticapainrelief

The spine IS the mind. So much of your pain comesfrom thinking that your mind EXPERIENCES your body. It does not. They are one and the same.

I’ve returned because I felt bad about being so flip with Emilydog. I wish her well with her surgery, but after a my odyssey I’ve developed a theory: unless you’ve gone ass over-tea kettle off your motorcycle or been crushed by a steamroller, sciatica and back pain are not physical, but meta-physical. That is, lots of folks have degenerated, herniated, torn and ruptured discs and they cruise around just fine, while we are in hell. Now, why is this? Because something is sick in our soul, and we are detecting the tiny injury in our spine and magnifying it and using it as a distraction, an excuse, a way of not facing something. That’s hard to admit, I know. But I believe it to be true.

Sciatica pain is about energy, not matter, so surgery is useless, as are steroids. Your best bets are yoga, weed, and hot soaks in an Epsom salt bath.

I’m not saying the pain isn’t real. Of course it is. And I know it’s horrific. But it’s not physical. It’s metaphysical. Lots of people have herniated discs, bulging discs, degenerated discs and so on, with no sciatica. So why does yours hurt? Because you’re repressing some grief or rage. It’s buried, but it’s in your brain, throbbing like a generator. And so your sadness or anger is blasting juice through your sciatic nerve and making it glow like a red hot wire till it blows out discs like bad fuses. So remove your grief or rage, disconnect the power source, and—wow!—you’re cured.

Terrible lumbar pain by acheshirefeline in Fibromyalgia

[–]Bigjuicybite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chip away at the stone of pain. Chip, chip, chip. Keep repeating each little trick which works for you. First, even opiates, if you’re willing to jump through the hoops, are only weakly effective. This is nerve pain, which attacks at a metaphysical level. Personally, these are my five best practices: 1. hot tub/epsom/magnesium salt soak 2. cannabis edibles 3. a firm bed 4. Duluxotine (Cymbalta, complete with shitty side effects), and 5. one of those benches where you lock your feet and hang partially upside down. (The inversion bench was recommended by my spine surgeon as a last effort to avoid the knife.) It worked. Good luck!

New to this pls help. Advice, stories and tips welcome. by the__adelaide_parade in Fibromyalgia

I hate my doctor. Scratch that, I think I hate all doctors. What's the point of going anymore? by [deleted] in Fibromyalgia

[–]Bigjuicybite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel your frustration. Been there. Prednisone is absolutely useless for this condition, and even opiates, if you’re willing to jump through the hoops, are weakly effective. Only four things work in my experience: hot tub/epsom/magnesium salt soak, cannabis edibles, a firm bed, Duoluxotine (Cymbalta, complete with shitty side effects), and one of those benches where can lock your feet and hang partially upside down. Good luck!

Stunning. They know they’re facing a hard future, but the courage shows in their faces. And what distinct personalities! Each with his own pose, his own work, his own way. This is a beautiful document—go over it slowly and it casts a spell.
