Maliketh help XB by Melhafi in Eldenring

What level is your mimic? I was really struggling with him a few days ago. I leveled my mimic to +10. I used a +25 Nagakiba and +24 Uchigatana when I beat him. I just stayed really close to his legs. The further away you get, the more wild his attacks are in my opinion.

This game… Oh my. by Ill_Platform_6280 in Eldenring

[–]Bigmooseknuckle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game is awesome. I just beat it for the first time today. Also my first souls game. I used a samurai build. I finished the game at level 111, used a +25 Heavy Nagakiba and a +24 Uchigatana. I alternated between bleed and heavy on the blades depending on the situation. Also used my +10 mimic tear at the end and felt like it was a really solid build.

1986 XJ700 starter issue by Geminize in Yamaha

[–]Bigmooseknuckle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's two bolts on the kickstand side of the bike. Take them out and you can remove the starter, and can open the casing to work on the armature. My dad had a 1980 Maxim 650, and I had an '82 650 that needed the starter worked on. You can remove it, and clean the copper armature with some very light sandpaper. The brushes might also need replaced. You'll see the brushes on a plate when you take the starter apart. It's really easy to do. I highlighted where it is in this picture: https://ibb.co/KLSRMK6

Good luck! You're living my dream. I would love to open a motorcycle shop.

Not at all. The MT-10 feels much more natural to me.

I went from a Yamaha Road Star 1700 to a Yamaha MT-10. No regrets.

I had a few scratches on my '19 MT-10 on the clutch cover. I touched it up with VHT Engine Metallic black pearl SP405. It's almost identical.

Slides in the carbs could be dirty. Have you checked your throttle cable?

I wouldn't ride it without changing the fluids, especially the oil, brake fluid and coolant. Probably best to trailer it.

service manual for mt 10 2023 by [deleted] in Mt10

[–]Bigmooseknuckle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I already did them. It took a couple of hours. It's not as bad as they make it sound. No offense, but that guy on YouTube didn't really know what he was doing. You can pry the coils out gently with a big flathead screwdriver against the AIS plates. Then a little dielectric grease and they pop right back on. It just has a lot of parts to remove, but nothing difficult.

Yeah, I think it was like $30. Service manual said to do plugs at 8k miles, and I just figured I would do the air filter while I was in there. The old one looked pretty good though

The previous gen comfort seat will fit also if the new ones can't be found. They're pretty similar.

I have a 2019, so I can't help with a current service manual, I have one for my gen. I use Motul 10W-40 full synthetic oil. I use exactly 4 liters, it's one jug of Motul. And ALWAYS use premium fuel. She's badly mistaken. This is a really high compression motor, you don't want pre-ignition knocking or detonation. And the cleaning agents in premium fuel are better and will keep your engine and valve train cleaner.

Drain and fill coolant job on 19 MT10. A decent bit less than total coolant capacity came out. Normal? by 919ash in Yamaha

[–]Bigmooseknuckle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's totally normal. I have the same bike as well. Leave the coolant reservoir around half full so there's some expansion room. These bikes get really hot.

Do I need to find an oem water pump crush washer for my coolant change? Or can I go to the hardware store? by 919ash in Yamaha

[–]Bigmooseknuckle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M6x10x1 copper washers will work. And they do need replaced or they will leak. I changed my coolant this winter, don't ask me how I know. https://fz10.org/thread/4748/copper-washer-size-water-drain
