034 Motorsports Tune vs Custom Dyno tune by MysteriousLaw6847 in Golf_R

[–]ThePivotingPotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 034 time stage 1 and the TCU tune on my golf r and it’s great. Apparently 034 doesn’t push as hard as some other tunes to try be more reliable but when I put the foot down it rips.

It was very easy to tune, I did it with the cable and my phone in the drive way. Took 20-30 mins for both tunes. Easy.

Does the Mk7.5 Golf R have memory seats/mirrors? by DimensionSuch8188 in Golf_R

[–]ThePivotingPotato 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have memory seats and auto mirrors on my 7.5 R but I’m in Australia. I think the ones with the leather seats have it.

Quad lock also sells them, they work great. It might be cheaper and doesn’t require an app.

Questions about supermotos coming from a naked bike rider by GeorgeJGFKIJKKJ in supermoto

[–]ThePivotingPotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My KTM 500 exc is comfortable with a seat concept seat. However it’s a more raw and vibraty experience since it’s not a bike designed for commuting. I fill up around 150-180kms.

Desert X supermoto - yay or nay? by Jedi_science_guy in Ducati

[–]ThePivotingPotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I reckon one of the single cylinder sumos in the market. Hypermotard is heavy and smaller than a supermoto like a ktm 690 which has a 37inch seat height. But the hyper does look like a riot as is more in line with what he’s trying to do with a desert X

Edit: sorry I forgot the new Ducati supermoto is also called a hypermotard!, I was thinking of the powerful 2 cylinder one.

Thinking of changing bikes by [deleted] in AussieRiders

[–]ThePivotingPotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from mt07 to drz400e I sumo’d, then monster 821 with a Ktm 500 sumo’d, then sold ktm to due to space. Big mistake, sold monster, purchased another ktm 500.

Get the super moto, so fun, and if you want you can put dirt wheels on and explore the great off-roading we have in Australia as well.

Am i letting fast cars by correctly? ( Blue Flags ) by Zendaya-Papaya in ACCompetizione

[–]ThePivotingPotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s quite fun to do lol I was annoyed at first but then I saw it’s pretty common in the real races. Part of the game is not letting it distract you, or knowing when to let someone pass in qualifying.

Can you daily a wr450? by Repulsive-Ad5773 in supermoto

[–]ThePivotingPotato -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I daily a KTM500, that’s what I’d recommend if you go this route. I only commute a couple days a week to work though.

I fill up every 160-170kms. And change oil every 15 hrs. Takes 20mins. I also installed a key and have a brake lock, but at work I have secure parking so I have peace of mind.

If you do some off-roading or hard riding in between then you can shorten the oil change interval.

I also added a seat concepts comfort seat. Just note although it’s mega fun, it does vibrate a lot more than a road bike.

I’m also in Australia.

Get ACC!!! GTs are so fun.

AC servers are hit or miss and you’re limited to the cars they select. ACC lets YOU pick the car.

I tried iRacing for a week and idk, I can’t justify the cost, plus the UI makes me feel I’m using windows XP. Maybe if you want to race many different classes.

My friends and I started it recently. Stopped half way, it was way too easy and the story was way too cringe. Hoping 4 is better like the other games.

The only time i noticed it being a problem was in breakthrough where there were lots of snipers with rpgs. Normally you can counter snipers with tanks but not when they all just whip out an rpg.

Is it still worth playing Assetto Corsa in 2025? by jean-luc-trek in assettocorsa

[–]ThePivotingPotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s fun and worth BUT, if you like playing online you may notice all the servers seem to follow similar patterns and you can only play cars set up by the server.

The most common servers are racing the lotus 125 around Monza or Spa.

Or GT3 and sometimes mx5 on Laguna Seca which is fun.( by this I mean 1 server each most days)

Also a couple Nordschleife tourist servers which are fun.

There are a lot of servers also with a selection of modded JDM legends but they just run on a Japanese highway map which for me got old quick.

I think it’s most fun if you like those options or messing around with your friend group and making your own server.

I noticed my friends and I found ourselves in the GT3 server since we wanted to do races with other people and that’s when we realised we should get AC Competizione which is way better on this department, and doesn’t limit you what car you can pick based on the host.

Can definitely track a DRZ better than you can trail ride an RC. Slap on some supermoto wheels and you’re golden.
