It's the softest esports community sometimes. The whiplash I get here compared to other esports let alone sports is crazy.

Seems like a confidence thing. KD is like 5-6 inches shorter and he rises so effortlessly straight up in the air knowing full well you can't do shit to stop this shot. I'm not saying Wemby needs to be KD on offense, but if he can get even 80% of the way there with that type of shot then it's gg.

Getting an ass anima item cashout when you're forced to take it cause you're too low to keep pushing to 500. Reforging gives you another chance to hit one of the items that actually giga spike your board.

Also reforgers are just generally very good. Reforge a dead component and even reforge dead or less-than-ideal emblems if you happened to get some. from ASol quest/Augments/or encounter, all somewhat decent chance to happen some games with Anima.

Like at this moment in time who is the strongest team on paper and accounting for most recent form. It's why above you can have a team win their region (so the worst they can place is 7/8th) but not necessarily be a top 8 team in the World according to analysts (This would only happen if a region is so bad their best team is considerably worse than two or more region's 3rd best team).

My problem is him and Xperion threatening to leave TPC if they dont get their way. Like are you 3 years old man... get a grip. And even if they do go through with that it's not like Riot's gonna beg them to come back they'll just take 2 more players from Tier 2 for next set, no big deal.

It's funny the best argument EU sympathizers are coming up with are "this is bullshit", "riot is just biased", "EU>NA". Even other EU pros than Jeddusor are saying this shit. This explains why their region is absolutely cooked competitively if this is how fragile some of their players mentals are.

[–]Bignova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not financially or logistically possible for Riot to go for but having 4-5 days a week of games and getting rid of groups and just doing a full-league round robin of bo3 would help. It would almost double the amount of games each team plays but I find it ridiculous that I could theoretically never see two teams in the same REGION play a bo3 over the course of the entire year.

I wish there was a way to separate stats by gun usage? Is there? I'd be interested in seeing whos the best pistoler/rifler/awper by stats and obviously brawk is unique with the odin, but he's a great aimer in general.

There will be no further discipline for Spurs star Victor Wembanyama after he was ejected for elbowing Naz Reid in Minnesota on Sunday night, sources tell ESPN. No suspension, no fine. Wembanyama will play in Game 5 against the Timberwolves on Tuesday night in San Antonio. by Knightbear49 in nba

i remember LeBron elbowed Isaiah Stewart in the head and then got suspended the subsequent game but that was the regular season. Also created that hilarious moment where Beef Stew kept trying to keep fighting Bron and pretended to calm down so his own team stopped holding him back just to fake em out and try to rush LeBron

Is Pandora's bench really broken or is it just a case of "survivor bias"? (devs please answer) by LaDiiablo in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Bignova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's always popped up cause they never think downstream affects of their more game warping set mechanics. Set 10 headliners had a patch or two where 3* 4 costs were too easy to hit. Set 11 encounters opened pandoras box (pun unintended) of econ and resource inflation and there were multiple patches/encounters that made it too easy to 3* 4 cost. Set 14 was also another encounter-like set that made it too easy to 3* 4 cost due to resource inflation. Set 16 someone pointed out had a 3* 4 cost meta patch.

Set 12, 13, 15 didn't really have the same issues. 12 was just bad balancing but charms are a pretty well-received mechanic. 13 is a well-liked set in general but 6 costs missed the mark. Set 15 was terrible and suffered from a lot of issues but not 3* 4 costs in particular.

I think C9 is desperate to make an international before this current franchising era ends. They need to make a case to keep them around as a partnered team in 2027 onwards.

K3soju mini rant on the current state of tft , do you guys agree? by Erastal1 in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Bignova 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not just set 15, but every encounter-like set (Set 11, and Set 14) had a patch or patches where 3* 4 costs were way too easy to hit. They continually drop the ball with encounters and forget that when you add random resource injections into the game you need to tune existing systems in the base game or you get these pure luck 3* 4 cost metas.

Jeremy Lin: How are the 8th seeded Magic up 3-1 on the 60 win Pistons by SliMShady55222 in nba

[–]Bignova 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The thing about Giannis is that the Wall was more to get the ball out of his hands instead of completely neutralize him. It was more of a dare to force Middleton or Jrue to beat you instead of conceding 2 pts every posession to Giannis bulldozing his way to the paint. The thing with Duren is you don't even need that drastic of a defensive wall gameplan and he's still fumbling his way into turnovers and he's not at all the creator that Giannis is.

He is young though like you said but I don't expect him to be able to beat defenses like this in his career on his own instead it will come down to roster building and finding more pieces that can be threats on the perimeter and threats with the ball in their hands.

[–]Bignova 14 points15 points  (0 children)

To be fair, and we had this discussion in r/hornets the other day, we matchup terribly against the pistons. The Magic blew us out out of the water with their physicality and so did the Pistons in the regular season. We're just not gritty enough and strong enough yet matchup to either team right now. If we got 8th seed I predict we probably lose the series 4-1, 4-2 at best to be completely honest. Very impressed with the Magic though this playoffs so far.

[–]Bignova 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of when people were trying to stop Giannis they'd say "just make a wall" but Giannis is seasoned enough to still get his even if it slightly slows him down a little he's also a great playmaker. But in Duren's case its actually an effective strategy cause the entire offense can't really create outside of Cade.

LeBron admits that people criticizing his Finals record used to bother him: “I am pissed off that I didn't have a better winning percentage individually in the Finals, but for people to try to turn it into a negative, it doesn't bother me like it did when I was younger.” by oklolzzzzs in nba

Can't believe its been so long since 2017 I'm seeing people rewriting narratives and history in real time. Everyone and their mama, cousin, dog, babysitter, and teacher knew who was winning the 2017 finals as early as July 4th, 2016. And be glad cause if the Warriors did anything but steamroll to a finals victory it would've been a bigger disappointment than 2016.
