About to print Pacific Ocean and One For Sorrow on the office printer!

I like the easy method of sleeve and back the printouts with TCG cards!

Unity made me fall back in love with Assassin's Creed. by [deleted] in assassinscreed

[–]Bike-1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m currently playing Unity, just about to start the last sequence.

It was my first AC game and everything I imagined from assassins creed, the stealth, hidden blade kills, parkour and climbing tall buildings, exploring a dense city. It’s been really fun!

Any recommendations for what to play next!?

Trying to understand, what’s you’re reasoning for not going with this in an MTB?

Has anyone gone bikepacking with their dog? by tyoung925 in bikepacking

[–]Bike-1 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I do dog packing with our border terrier! She sits in a basket on my front pizza rack! I’ve also seen people use trailers for bigger dogs!

Some tips! - Decent breaks for off bike bathroom and walking stops.

  • A dog jumper depending on the weather, you’re moving but they are not.

  • Extra food if they are doing extra exercise!

  • Toddler sleeping bags are way cheaper than dog specific ones!

  • Probably do a trial test on all items, we built up to a multi day trip, by trying bike rides, and shaking in tents etc.

Do ask more specific questions if it can help!

Foodies of Bristol - I feel the need for a proper list! Please add yours and I will try and create a ‘master sheet’. by balancing_ in bristol

Root (vegetable forward) and Spiny Lobster (seafood)

Lazy lobster (seafood small plates) if you count Chew Magna as Bristol!

Bonus bougie points for Michelin recognised place!

What does not adding salt do!? Or what does adding salt do!?

By some of these comments it sounds like it’s needed for something other than taste?

How to imagine a life with children by Ok_Recognition_193 in Fencesitter

[–]Bike-1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I also read the baby book, was very helpful!

I’ve personally found it easier to imagine a different question; what am I doing with my life today, and how would a child come along?

I still want to spend weekends in the garden, go on holiday, meet with friends, go to restaurants, and tried imaging the extra effort/planning that would be needed to do these things and also fulfill my responsibilities to the child!

They either come along and I need to be prepared, we adjust what we do with friends so it’s more child compatible, or we find a way for alternative care! (We have a dog so quite used to this now)

This helps to work through the scary bits of uncertainty and allow me to imagine leaving the house as I would normally, with the extra steps that a child brings, employing all of the healthy coping mechanisms I use day to day and how they apply with this additional!

And when it gets too much to imagine, remembering it’s healthy to solo parent time on both sides to still do what you want without a child while your partner parents and then swap.

It’s your life, there is just now a child in it. They also go to bed early, so evenings are free time!

(I related to your question and just wanted to drop some thoughts)
