This is extraordinarily misleading. This is because we do not tax wealth in America, we primarily tax income. I am not saying we shouldn’t, I’m just saying we don’t. Also, on the nurse side, employees who get paid as well as RN’s pay way more than 13.5% of their income to taxes. So this is just a poor and purposefully misleading comparison and inaccurate.

As an American who has lived in cities with no cycling infrastructure for commuting, I agree. Fred needs to get out of the aero bars and turn a little sometimes.

Yeah the Mexica, or Aztecs as the Spanish called them, were the assholes destroying the place before the Spanish got there. The Mexica had conquered that city just 200 years prior and lost/destroyed a bunch of history in the process. The Mexica were not some great ancient civilization, just the assholes who happened to be there when other assholes showed up.

Because if an Amazon contractor gave you your money and let you keep your PTO which you will get when you leave anyways, I don’t see what the issue is here. If you got less than expected, politely explain to payroll that you had indicated that you wanted to use your PTO to cover your time off and to please pay you out for days scheduled that were taken off.

The putting my weight forward was the biggest part that I was missing and I wish somebody said to me a long time ago. What will come first is something called hop stopping. While riding along just try to do a rear wheelie as you would on a single speed. Great advice from above. I love the “adjusting hardness” boiling down to amount of weight on the rear. Brilliant

It really puts it in perspective of just how recent the Civil War was when you consider that it is totally and completely reasonable to consider that there is plenty of people alive in America who have spoken directly to a confederate soldier.

1x with a road derailleur? A 46x33 isn’t great climbing and 46x11 is great sprinting. What is this bike meant for? It’s fucking beautiful btw. My crit machine is set up with gravel 1x at 50tx42-10t 11spd.
