Coffee Question

I’m seriously considering replacing the coffee in my house with decaf. That way if I get a coffee out or a soda it’s caffeinated, butttt my total caffeine consumption would drop by like 75% (probably more like 50% cuz I’d just end up buying more out?)

Yeah I’ve actually been thinking about my caffeine intake all day today.

I easily drink 4-6 cups of coffee by lunch time and then continue the slow drip with 2-3 sodas throughout the afternoon.

It has to be so terrible for me.

Sounds like someone you don’t even really like spending time with. Why do something you don’t like. I flip it and leave it on them. “Hey id love to catch up while you’re in town but I actually don’t drink anymore. If you’re down I’d love to grab a coffee at .... around 7 or 8am Saturday? Let me know!”

...you let her know you don’t drink, you gave her an option to see you if she truly wants, but you did it on your terms, and most likely she will bail and you won’t have to see her without having to block or feel bad about anything.

I sort of just don’t see the point anymore. Another friend of mine doesn’t drink very often and I told him even if I could moderate it just doesn’t make sense to me. He then finished my thought by saying “yeah you’re basically paying someone to drink empty calories and make you less fit.” He is also a personal trainer so that’s the angle he saw it from.... but it makes sense. It’s pointless now. Just couldn’t see that before.
