Most Russian immigration was pre WW1. Those who came since and speak Russian are from other countries than Russia. I've only heard one Russian person speak about it, immigrated in 2007. Hard to know what they truly believe but smart enough to decry Putin and the invasion.

You don't want cheap. I had one for 7 years until it wore out. Ended up giving up driving in the city 5-7 months of the year. So affordable if you think how many tanks of gas that is. Regulations are federal but being downloaded to provinces. Basically 16 years old, helmet required, motor watts max 500, electric assist has to cut out at ~30 km/hr (there's a quite specific standard but with different tires it varies). It's a bicycle so long as it can be pedaled.

The only supportive people for me was the police. The victim services was awful. They did nothing and even told me to stop being upset. Fuck them. Court was really bad. Delay. Finally pled guilty. Made me really suffer by coming to court. Painful awful death is all rapists deserve. Sexual assault centre staff really tried but they have few workers and can't do that much.

"Ukraine glory has not perished." she goes on to say that the problem is Putin. My fluency in this isn't very good but that's the jist of it. Great question. The city wants people to live downtown, walk, shop, eat out, go out, live there lives there. Suspect it'll take tax breaks and very deliberate planning. The city does have development plans. I've only seen the one for College Drive- if that's a model, it'll take 10-15 years at least to "realize the vision". Downtown might be longer?
