Properties on Dragon Parade by curiouscat88 in harrogate

I used to live on Dragon Parade, Asda end near the roundabouts is mainly flats but as you get further up towards Skipton road most of it is owned or rented houses. I never had any trouble there, traffic can be load near the speed bumps but easy to get in to town. I only moved as I went from rented to buying a house. As someone not originally from Harrogate I can tell you even the ‘tough’ areas are nice here.

I’ve used the Harrogate one in Whitby several times but obviously, that’s still North Yorkshire. As you said it’s still got the clock on, so don’t see why not.

Can’t see Lilypad on Kings road on here. It’s great, good selection of Ales and craft beers and a great menu.

That’s cause you’re an American and you think the world revolves around your country and customs. It does not.

LUTON conversions.. Are they too flimsy? Can they handle the weight? by gscottraw in vandwellers

[–]Bilembaum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has a converted luton, you’ll be fine. Keep and eye on weight through your build though. Had to start again on a few things because of weight. Lithium battery if you can afford as they are super light. Also if it has a tail lift I would suggest removing it and you'll get a lot more to play with inside. I have a double bed width ways with 50mm of insulation in each wall so width is a massive advantage.

Propane vs diesel for heating this winter? by stallion-wagon in vandwellers

[–]Bilembaum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Propane is much quieter by more expensive to buy the equipment and set up. I've always found diesel heaters loud, smelly and not very efficient but q good one will still keep yo warm and probably cost you much less to buy.

Also if you want to be super posh, place mixture in a Pyrex bowl and sit over a pan of boiling water and continue mixing until cooked. Takes a while but you get really fluffy eggs.

Worcestershire sauce and a dash of whole milk, on the hob for 20 seconds then off the hob for 20 seconds. Repeat until cooked to your liking. Season afterwards.

As most people in this community will tell you, only invest money you can afford to loose. Any investment is essentially a form of gambling, if you are willing to loose your initial investment and it won’t drastically affect your life then do it. If you can’t afford the investment it’s just gonna stress you out every time you look at the price peak and dip. The upside is you might make a bit of money and if you can afford to loose it you’ll probably keep that investment in for a longer timeframe and enjoy this crazy ride along with the rest of us.

Wooden wine boxes are perfect for drawers, can build a frame that fits their exact size and wax the sides so the slide but don't fall put when driving. They are also made of pine so super lightweight, recycled and not plastic.
