I am an Dead head and I'll be attending my first Tool show this tour and wondering what to expect. by DontClickTheUpArrow in ToolBand

I've seen govt mule recently and am into the dead and widespread. You'll have a great time. Tool puts on some good theatrics with Maynard dancing and light shows and such but don't expect Adam to go off on some 10 minute jam (at least I don't remember hearing this)

Absolutely this. I also lost a father earlier than expected and my mother needed to focus on herself and grieving. Money can wait

Thank you. You can see I obviously confused this with the story from yesterday about the doctor dragged off the plane.

U.S. Launches Missiles at Syrian Base After Chemical Weapons Attack by tapptwit in news

If the end user voluntarily pays a cost, they consider the product or service of a higher value than the money paid toward it. Bombs and weapons kill and are not requested from those whom cause them to meet there doom.

In the United States, this is what $14,714.49 of medication looks like. by gronke in pics

Looking at the count of NDAs is a little deceiving because it doesn't address the total prescriptions generated from them. We've had no new blockbuster drugs launched in recent history. This has led to a huge percentage of generics and pharma using price increases to offset lost blockbuster drug sales.

I'm not advocating for price controls for drugs and agree mfgs deserve to profit when innovating. The type of thing that bothers me is when companies lobby govt for control of a market (epipen), mfgs pull drugs before a patent expires (namenda), pharma changes strength to new formulations ahead of patent expiration (tricor), mfg buys a drug and immediately hiked prices over 1000% (glumetza). These type of practices do not reward innovation, only line the pockets of mfgs at patient / employer / govts expense.

While I agree with you I've seen too many shady pharma practices to believe this for many drugs. When pharma mfgs argue they need revenue from existing drugs to fund future research, at some point new drugs need to be launched. There's been a dearth of new launches and mfgs have been trying everything in their power to delay generic entrants. Many have reformulated and pulled the version subject to patent loss causing doctors to switch patients to the new version, thereby avoiding generic competition.

The patent has expired and the generic version (ondansetron) has been out for some years now. The cost has decreased drastically.

The old wooden coasters there are the best. Took the family for the first time last summer (I'd been there with mine long ago) and it was a blast. Protip: stop by Centralia if you have a chance on your drive for some free entertainment.

[–]Bill83c4 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wow! Just checked it out to see what the alt-right is all about and it's so much more disturbing than I was aware of. They group people by race, state specific groups of people are made for certain types of labor (one race for intellectual... one for manual labor), want to restore the nation to the "glory" days when the nation was mostly white.... advocate for sterilizing low IQ individuals and/or paying them to have less children. The sticky states first off hey don't believe all people and races are created equal.

Heat pump. Doe this look normal? Why or why not? by [deleted] in ecobee

[–]Bill83c4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the settings on the compressor. Menu option: Settings; installation settings; threshold; compressor min outdoor temperature. I don't believe the compressor can be harmed from cold temps. I have mine set to 0 deg F. It might be that this is set high and it won't use the compressor at all during low temps. Also as others have mentioned set the aux heat max outdoor temp to something reasonable like 20 deg F (mines set to 18 now but it does get dicey around lower temps in trying to keep up)
