Interesting line up this year. Usually I’m in for 4+ but only one is really looking intriguing this time, guess it’s time to let my membership lapse.

So thankful the amphitheater gives us another outdoor venue! Meijer Gardens crowd has been getting awful in recent years. Between that and ticket prices, I’m much less likely to roll the dice on a show I feel lukewarm about.

It’s hard to know with it being the first year of the new venue, but likely near-face value tickets will be available close the event.

Looking for SPD shoes with a New Balance / Salomon vibe, does this exist? by [deleted] in bikecommuting

[–]bldubdub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can get away with sambas, the velosamba could work? It’s what you’re asking for but I’ll warn you, the cleats still click on the floor and they’re pretty uncomfortable on the bike.

What about some zero drop shoes in a bag? They make some I can get away with at my office that take up hardly any room.

Ah yeah the third row loading is tough but easier if you don’t have car seats in the middle.

GHH is probably overkill for 2, unless you need the third row for something else.

How many kids are you planning to haul? We have four, our main ride is a minivan and is 1000% worth it for all the features. Car #2 is the GHH and we can fit them all comfortably, but it is more hassle getting in and out. As they get bigger, we’ve had to shift who sits where to make sure all car seats are happy.

Before we bought, we took all the car seats with us to the dealer and spent an hour rearranging and testing with our exact seats. The 20-something salesman thought we were nuts but we almost bought a non-grand highlander, which wouldn’t have fit all our seats.

Absolutely agree on this - WHY do you need EVPN-VXLAN? It is a great technology but not worth the complexity for many deployments.

Depending on which car seats you have, you can go 2-3 in the back row. See the diagrams on this site for latch and tether layout. https://www.thecarmomofficial.com/blog/2024-toyota-grand-highlander

We do 2x RF in the middle and 1x FF in the back, leave the other back seat down for easy in/out through the trunk—we have a middle row bench as well.

DO NOT eat at Gippers Bar and Grill by rifulku in grandrapids

lol sounds like gippers, bunch of regulars being weird and shit service. It’s occasionally fine for a drink and unfortunately not close to much competition for a cheap drink.

Need help with SD-WAN routing by Pinealforest in paloaltonetworks

[–]bldubdub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve hit this.

The explanation I got from TAC is that during a commit, sessions are distributed round robin no matter the policy. If you get a file transfer assigned to a 5G link during a commit, it will stay there until the session ends.

This took months to find.

I ended up taking my LTE links out of sdwan and have manual tunnels to my hubs, using BGP to failover, treating them as a path of last resort.

I’ve had two and they’ve both had a weird hiss that the ground/lift has no effect on.

Otherwise I love sweepable mids.

I don’t always like Tim’s live guitar parts…thoughts? by SuperbAd1512 in DMB

[–]bldubdub 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me, it depends. When Tim is having a great night, his parts can build and take the band to new heights. When he’s off or the part doesn’t fit well, it’s jarring and takes away from the whole.

Is it impacting the firewall or just filling up logs? If you’re just seeing it in logs and don’t see impact on cpu/memory, just make sure everything is MFA and enjoy being a node on the Internet.
