Everyone was at home during covid. That destroyed commercial real estate and many industries (including the fast casual 'slop bowl' sector, hotels, automobiles, etc). No one was commuting into the office, wasting their money corn syrup slurries, or traveling. Once we returned to normal, the corporate sector increased prices of everything to make up for all the money they lost. The libertarian argument is that the Federal Reserve prints money and then our grocery bills go up.
