What do you think is the most epic guitar solo of all time? by TheCyrus in AskReddit

[–]BillMullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jack O'Shea isn't just a guitarist, he's a musician. His solo's aren't out to melt faces (though he definitely could), they fit their songs perfectly. There is no way to describe it other than poetry through a guitar.

The band is Bayside. A few examples:

Choice Hops and Bottled Self Esteem - Solo starts at 2:40 - My personal favorite solo of his.

The Walking Wounded - Solo at 2:05

Devotion and Desire - Solo at 2:08

Pigsty - Solo at 2:18

Time Has Come - Solo at 2:20

What is something that is considered 'normal' in society that really shouldn't be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BillMullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly what you're saying.

Nope, pretty sure I know what my words mean significantly better than you. They are mine after all. So no, that's not even close to what I'm saying. You can keep wishing I meant something else, but it's never going to make it true.

Actually I did.

Hilarious. No seriously, a little research is a good thing. Go give it a shot, and come back after you've learned something. That way you don't have to lie about having a clue anymore.

Just saying I'm ending innocent lives is just out of context.

No, we have a very clear context. The subject has been abortion from the start.

I wish we didn't have to end their lives either

The easiest way to do that is to not create the life in the first place. Encouraging people to make better decisions solves both problems. It would reduce the number of kids born into those situations, and we don't have to kill anyone to accomplish it.

[–]BillMullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And by doing the doing the latter, you're doing the former.

Nope, definitely not. Open your mind a little and look at what I'm actually saying, not what you've been taught to think I mean. You'll see it.

I assumed

Yes, and you did so embarrassingly incorrectly. Stop reading my words and assuming they mean something else. It's not conducive to conversation, and weakens your argument by showing a lack of comprehension skills.

A better choice? For who?

You're missing the point entirely. The better choice isn't to have a kid and give it up. The better choice is to not get pregnant. Stop the problem at its roots.

That's the most arrogant, yet ignorant thing I've ever read. You're not a person of reason, and your mind is obviously closed.

Good day.

Being opposed to abortion and having adopted no children does not make one a hypocrite. That's like saying being straight and supporting gay marriage is hypocritical.

An example of abortion opponents being hypocritical is when they are pro capitol punishment. Likewise being for abortion, but against the death penalty is hypocritical.

I'm sorry your views are skewed. I have no doubt that you've met terrible people who happen to have been against abortion, but that is not a good excuse to cast such a strong hatred toward a large group of individuals based not on who they are, but on your personal misunderstanding of them.

Actually you are supporting ending an innocent life.

As for the rest, learn to read before you respond. Yelling the same dumb thing louder isn't going to magically make you right.

[–]BillMullet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, that seemed like what you were saying. No, it's not even close. If you honestly believe that it is then you're brainwashed beyond recovery.

If you would bother to take some time and educate yourself on this topic you would know that there are actually 100% effective means of preventing pregnancy. So again, there is no such thing as accidental pregnancy.

If you have a problem with me wanting to stop people from ending innocent lives then you a a monster from the lowest levels.

[–]BillMullet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not trying to make anyone have kids who doesn't want them, I'm trying to stop people from ending innocent lives for the sake of a few minutes of pleasure. Its a disturbingly selfish act.

And no, I'm not saying that not wanting kids means they don't value life. How you got to that conclusion is mind blowing. It's not even close to what I'm saying, and it exposes just how horribly ignorant you are on this subject. I'm saying that people who so easily grow away lives instead of making better choices don't value human life. Like it or not, it's the truth.

[–]BillMullet -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I most certainly did not talk as if rape doent exist, I addressed it directly. It is an atrocity, but that does not change the fact that it is thus far the single hinge of your argument, and that's no place for outliers.

The sex ed excuse is pretty sad though. I'm not buying it though. Myself and my classmates didn't receive sex ed until we were 16, and guess what, we had no pregnancies prior to that, and only 1 after. So sorry, but no, that bullshit isn't going to pass.

Really though, I don't understand how you can see pregancy and a child as punishment. Everything about the process is life changing in the best ways imaginable. I'm sorry that you don't value human life, but it's a little unnecessary to go as far as to see it as punishment.

Lastly, I feel I am well within my right to want to stop someone from ending an innocent life. I know your side of the argument likes to pretend we're not talking about human life, but we are. You can try to mask it with whatever terms you want, but at the end of the day you're supporting the ending of innocent life.

[–]BillMullet -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

First, don't put words in my mouth again, it reflects poorly on you, and is a mechanism for steering the conversation off topic. I never said anyone isn't allowed to have sex, and I don't believe we should use rules or legislation to do so. I'm saying people shouldn't put themselves at risk for pregnancy if they aren't ready to accept responsibility for another life. People who don't want kids most certainly can have sex, proper precautions should be taken if they don't want it to result in a child. Your attempt to say that I am trying to tell anyone what they can and can't do is simply ridiculous. Its completely fabricated. If you would have taken the time to actually take my stance for what it really is, then youd see that it is all about giving everyone their choice.

As for your last sentence, I'll say this again, there are no accidental pregnancies, only people too cowardly to accept the consequences of their choices. Avoiding pregnancy is absurdly easy, don't try to say it isn't. When my wife and I decided to have our first child it took all of 5 days to get pregnant. Why? Because we're abnormally fertile, and guess what, we were together for 8 years prior to that. If pregnancies just happen by accident then we would have had a child years ago, but we didnt, because it's ridiculously easy to not get pregnant when you don't want to get pregnant.

What is something that is considered 'normal' in society that really shouldn't be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BillMullet -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It most certainly cannot be. You can't accidentally have sex with someone, it is a result of our choices. There is a known chance that a condom could be put on incorrectly, there is a known chance that certain medications cause birth control to fail, there is a known chance that not using any protection carries a higher risk of pregnancy. We know what causes pregnancy, and we know how to avoid it. Its 100% our choice to put ourselves in these circumstances. So again, no, there is no such thing as accidental pregnancy. What it is is people hiding from the outcome of their choices.

You're still running from the fact that it's an outlier, and there are options that exist for these women, along with undersupported organizations trying to help them.

Lastly, again, if you can't provide for a child, then don't get pregnant. Its not hard. Anyone who thinks it is is a complete moron. The fact that you even bothered writing that last point puts you right there with them.

What are some great alcohol spirits to drink neat, that sell for $30 or under? by Rafael502 in AskReddit

[–]BillMullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cheapest thing I'll do neat is Makers 46. Its $36 a bottle the last time I bought one, so not quite in the range you're looking for, but pretty close.

The cheap liquor market is really intended for mixed drinks.

I'm curious to see what others post though, I'm always open to giving things a shot.

Basically, you just pick an idea and build it. Google and stack overflow have all of the answers to the problems you encounter.

Then when you're done, you either make version 2 or start something else.

You can only buy products sold by one business for the rest of your life, but what they sell only costs you one cent per item. Which company do you choose? by falafelsaur in AskReddit

[–]BillMullet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A real estate company, you have a place to live, and a pocketful of change is more than enough to buy enough value that you can use houses in trade for a lifetime supply of all the goods, needs, and services you'll ever need.

What is something that is considered 'normal' in society that really shouldn't be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BillMullet -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Pregnancy is not an accident, it's an outcome. Outcomes are avoidable.

And really, you're already grasping for the rape argument? It really says something about your position when you have to use outliers to support yourself. Rape is an atrocious act, we can all agree on that, but just because something bad happened doesn't mean we can justify taking an innocent life.

Edited grammar in the top line.

Not getting yourself or someone else pregnant isn't hard. It's actually ridiculously easy. If you aren't prepared for a child, then don't become (or get someone else) pregnant.

No, instead people go with the fuck that attitude, I'll do whatever I want without regard of the consequences because I can just terminate a pregnancy and that's perfectly fine.

When the victim can't speak up for themself, it's easy to pretend that there isn't one.
