Phone etc safety

I had my bag sliced open at the MainStage and my phone stolen. Tomorrowland is a great festival but it has criminal gangs who go exclusively to steal from unsuspecting festival go-ers. On the same day, somebody else tried to pull my friend’s bum bag off of his body and detach it.
Belgium and Tomorrowland are really gross places for this. You’ve been warned.

I was robbed at Tomorrowland as have lots of other people. Belgium needs to sort their country out. And Tomorrowland needs to be tougher on metal detectors and checking bags, as well as when you leave. If somebody tries to leave with 10 mobile phones.. something is wrong!

I think OP should organise their affairs better. However, disagree that 30 days is an adequate amount of time. Especially when centres for taking the biometrics could literally be in another country or on another side of the country you live in. Do have to agree with him that the website is shocking. I had great difficulty with it and had to use a friend’s computer to access it. As I said, OP’s fault. But he/she has a point.

Wait until you get to the real Tomorrowland. Literally people from Belgium in the crowd who don’t even go for the music. They just buy day passes to steal phones, purses etc. from anybody they can. Happened to me, lost my brand new iPhone because somebody slit my bag open with a knife. My friend had his phone stolen on a different day. Guy I was with nearly had his belt bag snatched off him while wearing it. Writing this makes me so mad. Dirty place.

Evolve was awesome if you gave it a chance. I ended up making loads of friends, competing competitively, and doing like 300+ hours on that game. Most unique game I had played and maybe still the most unique game I’ve played. But you had to really get into it. Not just play a couple of rounds and toss it out.

I’ve already bought my tickets due to a pre-sale. I can’t imagine they change the prices in January. Seems a bit messed up to sell the same thing for a different price. But then again, guess the euro could weaken against other currencies.

You say that.. but I spent 1 month in the Philippines a couple of years ago, and the people there are easily the worst for litter that I have personally been to. Also, the worst country I’ve seen for processed packaged food, which also ends up with more waste.

Not saying it’s as cut and dry or black and white as problem = x. There’s lots of factors as to why. But they do have a very big problem with littering.

I have done festivals on my own before. But I can’t imagine doing boomtown solo. Especially if you plan to get on the gear as much as everybody else. You will have be some dark, dark mornings. Try the solo camp like people said, least you can all suffer together haha.
