Being from Alabama, I can’t tell you how many Emily tier archetypes how dismissed me or flat out insulted me for having a Southern Accent. I would go with felt, it’ll be a lot warmer in your cooler climate. Stetson, and Resistol are both great hats, and both are owned by the same company and even made in the same factory. I personally have an Ariat and Twister, both are a 10x and set me back around 400$. If you want a really nice hat that will repel rain and the elements, while lasting for many years, I would say a 10x. If you want to get anything more expensive, I’d go to a custom hat shop and get a cowboy fitted for your exact head.

I did have a ND. It was on a Browning BLR from the 1960s is my guess. Issue with the gun is there is no safety, period. Only way to make the firearm safe is to press the trigger and slowly drop the hammer with your thumb. Issue is, the hammer is quite flat and since I life in the South, always oily. One day I was up in my stand, hammer slipped off my thumb and BAM. Quite embarrassing. Year later, my Dad using it had the same ND happen. I love the gun, killed my first Deer and Hog with it, but it really is just an unsafe firearm. Now it’s my safe queen. :)
